Probably. But it makes me feel like I've got things under control! What's on the Thanksgiving week agenda, you ask? The Downtown aquarium, the Houston Zoo, Breaking Dawn, St. Arnold's Brewery, and of course, a big Thanksgiving meal. I feel like a kid on Christmas--I am just so excited! My sister's family is going to be here in oh, you know, 7 hours! Yes, they are driving through the night with 3 kids under the age of five. And yes, they are brave :) Little Luke is ...
Two Years
Today Chris and I celebrated two years of marriage! And by celebrate, I mean we woke up at 5:45am to drive home from Austin, then spent the day cleaning, running last minute Thanksgiving errands, fixing the Christmas lights, picking up a stinky dog from the pet ranch, bathing said stinky dog, baking, and waiting for our new washer and dryer to arrive. I'd like to think I've been pretty organized in preparing for the Thanksgiving extravaganza that's about to begin (more on that to ...
Brighten Up
We decided to join the club this year…the Christmas light club, that is. November 12th is too early for Christmas lights, you say? Well don't worry, we haven't actually turned them on yet. Clark--I mean, Chris--has dreams of doing a lighting ceremony when our families are here at Thanksgiving. I didn't help because I had an important job of my own…taking pictures. By the way, that is a really good excuse in case any of you are looking to get out of physical labor around ...
You’ve Got Mail
Remember when everyone you knew had AOL? Oh those were the good old days! The anticipation would build as you listened to the screeching connection noise for about a minute...and then if you were lucky you'd hear "You've Got Mail". Yes! And if you were me in 7th grade, you were signing on every 20 minutes to see if your boyfriend had responded to your breakup email. What can I say, I'm a chicken. Oh and what about instant messenger? One of my favorite things to ask people ...
Sunday Crafternoon
Say hello to our boring wall. I bought these three pieces the last time my mom and I went to Nell Hills. I love them but they just weren't enough for this wall. That is until I was inspired by this… So Sunday afternoon was spent making my own version(s). Cheap frames + leftover burlap + scrapbook paper = a pretty cheap addition to our living room collage! I like it much better now :) Later that evening we carved a pumpkin and watched Hocus Pocus. I hope I never get too old for ...

#11 in the nation?! Can you say CRA-ZY?? Whew, Saturday was one heck of a game, which made for a pretty exciting watch party. One minute we were all jumping up and down and Kyle was pounding on tables--and the next everyone was biting their fingernails, praying our defense could hold the Red Raiders. Thank you Bill for pulling off another win and making us bowl eligible! Now if you could make that one of the bowl games in Texas, I would love you forever! Did I mention we ...
