My mom called me last week to tell me that there was a letter for me at their house…from me. Weird, huh? I don’t really remember writing this, but apparently we did it in my Junior year English class. It looks like our teacher was a little late in sending these out, but it doesn’t make it any less hilarious…

2 days left in my junior year!
Vanessa…(do you still use dots?)
Hey, how’s life? If you’re still in college I hope you are having fun. I bet you’re in a sorority at KU – hopefully you’re dating Kirk Hinrich, but any hot guy will do. Okay, go look in the mirror. Please tell me you avoided the “freshman 15”! Make sure you’re working hard in class and getting good grades. It sucks, but it’s almost over! Are you studying sports administration? Who are your best friends? If you don’t talk to them be sure to call –> Angie, Jenni, Heather, Brooke H, Renee, David, Don, Stephanie W, Becky, etc. How are Josh and Lindsay’s marriages? Here are some things going on now…
-Popular songs: What’s Love, Fat Joe & Ashanti
-Last movie: Spiderman (DUMB!)
-Guy I like: Brett B (won state tennis)
-Something that happened: Mom and Dad bought a water trampoline for the pond yesterday…and Heather and Kali got MIPs (hahaha)
-Gas: $1.29
-I hope you still have a relationship w/ God!
Love,
Vanessa
So 8 years later, I have a few things to say about this letter…
-Do I still use dots? You betcha! Way too often, I’m sure.
-KU? No thanks!
-Guess I found my hot guy…and I’m so glad he’s not Kirk Hinrich! I mean, what was I thinking?
-The MIP situation at the Royal’s game was not a funny one. Sorry Heather, I take back the hahaha’s 🙂
-$1.29 for gas?!? I paid $2.79 in Edwardsville yesterday. Yikes!
This was such an unexpected (and somewhat creepy) surprise…but it definitely gave me some good laughs!

Heather's letter is lost somewhere- but I can't WAIT until she gets hers. I died reading this post.
A pond trampoline -really?! Fancy 🙂

So, I ended up getting Renee Girard's. Really weird. But you were in hers, and I was not. Haha.
I still can't believe you didn't get an MIP. YOU STARTED IT!
