I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my family and I’ve come to one conclusion…being an aunt is the best gift ever. 4 years ago I had no idea that I would have 2 amazing nieces and a perfect little nephew…and I definitely had no idea I would be so head over heels for all of them. Maren is, well…she’s just Maren. She’s 3 going on 17 and is the single most hilarious and entertaining person I know. Everyone that meets her loves her and there’s no wonder why. Then there’s Norah. She is the sweetest, happiest little chub-o ever…and there’s just something about her that makes me certain she’s going to be such a caring, genuine person. And finally, there’s Luke…the butterball. He’s only 12 weeks old but he already has the sweetest demeanor and a smile that will melt your heart. He is his parents’ pride and joy and he is just so darn squeezable. I can’t wait to watch him grow up.
I’m not really sure where all of this sappiness came from–I guess just being away from them has made me realize even more how much they all mean to me. The point is that these kiddos have changed my life 🙂 (And Chris’ too…talk about an awesome inheritance!)
I hear ya being away from them is the worst! Seriously if I already love my nieces and nephews more than anything in the world I can't imagine how it is to actually have your own kids!!
I agree Ash…although, maybe we love them so much because we're not their parents 🙂
