I thought Arden’s first recital was an event that couldn’t be topped. That was until her second recital came around over the weekend. Ohmygosh!!!! Tutus, bows, sequins, tap shoes…the whole day was what dance mom dreams are made of. Kidding…I won’t be a crazy dance mom…unless Arden wants me to be of course 😉
For weeks I’ve been asking Arden if she was excited about the recital. Her response was always, “Yes! I get to wear mascara!” By the way, do you know how difficult it is to put mascara on a 3-year-old?!?! Let’s just say we put my makeup remover to work. Anyway, getting dolled up for the performance was just the beginning. Seeing her shake, sing and (occasionally) dance to Rockin’ Robin was by far the highlight of the day. It’s kind of crazy to think about all we do for those 2 minutes on stage…but seeing her face light up when I went to get her backstage made it all worth it. She has SO much fun–and that’s what it’s all about.
