First of all, thank you all so SO much for your sweet comments about Arden’s 1-year pictures…they absolutely made my day! However, it looks like I’ll be wallpapering our house with them because you all didn’t help me narrow it down one bit! 😉
This past Saturday we decided to make a last-minute trip to Houston’s Downtown Aquarium.
It had been a couple of years since our last visit with my family, and Arden had never seen a fish in her almost 12 months of life…so it was time!
The aquarium isn’t huge but the displays are great! Arden loved it so much that she got upset each time we walked away from the glass…we had to hustle to the next room to convince her that there was still more to see. I’m pretty sure she though she was looking at a giant iPad, so you know she was fascinated. Ha!
Our little daredevil wasn’t even afraid of the sting rays. She saw other people sticking their hands in the water, so of course she leaned right in to do the same. I think that officially makes her braver than me…
We ended the day with a delicious dinner at El Tiempo, where Arden got some good practice emptying her dad’s wallet. A skill that will surely come in handy over the next 17 years!
Hope everyone is having a great week! My parents got in town on Monday afternoon (hooray!) so Arden and I are soaking up some Gigi & Papa time and preparing for the tea party this weekend 🙂 Cheers!
