I’m not sure if I should admit this, but I had a dream this week that I met Joanna Gaines…at Target. And we totally hit it off. Duh! I know, I’m a weirdo…but gosh, it seemed so real 😉 Anyway, in honor of my ridiculous dream…and Mother’s Day weekend…I wanted to share Joanna’s “letter to moms” in case you haven’t read it yet. Anyone else buy the same tennis shoes every year? I guess when I find something I like, I just stick with it. Well it’s about time for a new pair of my Nikes…and these caught my eye immediately. Gray and mint? Yes please! And you can’t beat $50 for a good pair of tennis shoes…am I right?!
three.
We are so lucky to get tons of great hand-me-downs from my sister and sister-in-law. Each new season I get to go shopping for the kids in our own basement…which is not only fun, but it saves us a TON of money. My favorite thing though is that I get to see Arden and Nash wearing some of my nieces and nephews’ outfits…and it brings back such good memories.
That’s why I couldn’t wait to put this little romper on Arden yesterday and send a picture to my family. I knew they would think she looked exactly like her cousin Maren, but it wasn’t until my sister sent a picture back that I realized…they are TWINS! If Arden had bangs and unchipped teeth (ugh), it would be tough to tell the two apart. Their identical little legs just kill me!
And you know now I’m going to have to get a picture of Arden doing the same pose next time she wears this 😉
four.
We’ve got butterflies, folks!! We woke up yesterday to one new little friend…and then the kids and I got to witness two more actually emerging from their chrysalises!!! Can you tell the next one to come out was the one in the very middle? You can see his wings starting to show through. Pretty cool, right?!? I’m hoping we’ll get to see our final two emerge sometime today. Fun stuff!

And finally…happy Mother’s Day weekend to all of the wonderful moms out there. This one in particular. She’s the most caring, compassionate, faithful, and STRONG woman I know…and we are so blessed to call her ours. Love you, Mom!
