Happy Friday, friends! We have a pretty laid-back weekend ahead of us and I’m t-h-r-i-l-l-e-d about it! Arden’s soccer practice, a family dinner, and a few to-do’s around the house. Heck, I might even sneak in a nap or two! But first…five on Friday!
one. I bought this romper in Dallas last weekend and I’m obsessed. It’s pretty much like wearing pajamas…while still looking cute. An easy sell for me! The pink was the only color they had in my size, but I think I need to get either the gray or turquoise as well. It’s hard to say no at 40% off!
two. Arden had her first swim lesson of the year, and I think I was more nervous about it than she was. She’s always been pretty comfortable in the water, but I know a lot can change in the “off-season” when they’re this little. Apparently there was no need to worry though because she rocked it! She was so attentive and eager to learn…and I was just so proud watching her. It was one of those moments where it hit me–my baby is growing up!
Another sign that she’s growing…last year’s swimsuit coverup was more like a crop top! That called for a trip to our trusty Old Navy where I found this cute little thing in white/mint. I mean…can they puuuuhlease make this in my size?!?! The pom poms!!!
three. I saw on Facebook this week that MMMbop was released almost 20 years ago. Now if that doesn’t make you feel old, I don’t know what will! Watching the video now just makes me laugh. The hair, the clothes, the dorky dancing…and yet, I was so in LOVE! Oh to be a 7th grader again!
four. One of my very first blog friends (and the sweetest person ever!), Mateya, is a Rodan + Fields consultant…and I’ve recently decided that I need everything they offer. No really…I remember hearing people say that your skin changes when you turn 30. And apparently they weren’t kidding about that! So I’m curious to hear from those of you that have tried R+F…what did you use? What are your favorites? A friend from college is shipping me some R&F stuff to try as we speak! And don’t mind if I do buy that same romper so that we can be twins this summer. (I’ll settle for black.) So excited for those giveaways!!!!
I am obsessed with rompers! I recently bought Harper a pink lace one trimmed in gold and all I could think when purchasing it was that I wish it came in my size. & Yay for swimming lessons! Harper started them last week. I figured navigating the pool with a toddler and an infant may be a handful so I needed to know that my little mermaid could swim if the need were to arise!

Arden looks so big! We need to sign up for swimming lessons for the summer. Both kids love the water. Love the romper. I really want one for the summer. I’ve heard R+F is great. I’ve never tried it.

MMMBop 20 years ago??? NO! I suddenly felt all wrinkly and old. Ugh…. but now it’s totally stuck in my head and I need to listen to it, stat! I’ve been looking at swim lessons for my 2.5 year old. The ones in our area under 3 are Mommy and Me swim classes, which sound like fun, but with a newborn coming, maybe not… so I’m trying to decide if she’s cut out for an “all on her own class” for the first time now, or wait a little… not sure… but your kiddo is adorable in that cute swim suit!!
