Well seeing as how Clearfield is a good 15 hour drive from Houston, we couldn’t make the trip this year. But I think we made up for it with our own kind of fun…
Friday we had some friends over to BBQ and hang out on the new patio. Speaking of, I know Chris is getting mad that I haven’t blogged about that yet–soon buddy, soon. Then we hit up Mo’s Place for a little country fun. It just never gets old!
Then Saturday we did this…
The Huschka’s hosted their 2nd annual White Trash Pool Bash–and it was awesome. We found the water slide on Craigslist and I’m about 99% sure the guy we rented it from thought we were getting it for our kids. Well, that was partially true….they’re just really big kids.
The day was pretty hilarious and perfectly American. Only one small problem…mama Elsa reared her ugly head again. Yep, Hazel managed to get stung by something and have her face swell up again. Lesson learned–don’t leave the house without Benadryl! Oh Hazel…there’s never a dull moment!
Yesterday we took it easy…went to the pool, read, napped and then met everyone for Fireworks at La Centerra. And this has nothing to do with the 4th, but as I’m writing this I’m watching Never Say Never. Chris acted disgusted when it came in the mail, but he’s been glued to the TV for the last hour. Bieber Fever?!?! If he grows his hair out like Justin’s, we may have a problem.
