Ever wish you could repeat a weekend just a few more times? That’s how I feel about my girls getaway over the weekend. I met my Katy friends in Dallas on Friday, where we rented a super-cute condo in Uptown. We got dressed up, stayed out late, slept in (as much as a bunch of moms can!), and talked and laughed for hours. We pampered ourselves, splurged on cute clothes, ate way too much (at least I did!), and chugged sipped on mimosas and margaritas all weekend. It was pretty much the definition of the perfect weekend…
It’s hard to believe that it’s been two whole years since we moved back home from Houston. When I saw it on my Timehop the other day I was reminded of all the crying I did during that bittersweet transition. While I’m proud to say that I don’t cry myself to sleep anymore (ha!)…I sure do miss these girls and their families dearly. They’ve been with me in the best times of my life and the worst. I can always count on them for advice, support, prayers, and of course, a good laugh. I’m so thankful God put them in my life and I have no doubt that that’s where they’ll always stay.
Now…where to next year, friends? 🙂
