A couple of years ago, Erica found her "game changer". It's this amazing chair that can complete any room you put it in. I was in love with it from the first picture I saw, and since then I've been patiently waiting for a piece of furniture that would complete our living room in the same way. It was a Saturday in February that we first met. Chris was in Australia for work and I was curing my boredom with a stroll down the aisles of Home Goods. And there it was…love at first ...
Meatball Babies
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably caught wind of the worst-kept secret in Hollywood Jersey.... And believe it or not, her due date is the week after mine. This means there's a chance that our children could be born on the same day. Wouldn't that be something to tell your kid..."Did you know you share a birthday with Snooki Jr?!?" Something tells me my baby won't look anything like the little meatball...even though it will technically be 1/8 Italian ...
The Big 3
3 years ago today, this little lady changed our lives. And she's been hamming it up ever since! Norah is the "sweet one"... …with an ornery side... And I always have a hard time coming up with a gift for her. She's gets all of her sister's hand-me-down toys, so it's tough to find something she doesn't have. But when I found this little gem of a project on Pinterest, I thought it might just work. She's pretty in to playing with her babies right now…even the real ...
Not Much To “Show”
All of my friends have been asking the same question lately…"are you showing yet?!" My answer is always, "kinda, sort of…okay, not really." I was a little worried about this at first, but my doctor assured me that some people don't show until half way through their pregnancy. My sister was one of those people (and they say you're supposed to have a similar pregnancy to your sister), so who knows. I'm sure I'll be looking back at this post at 30 weeks thinking I should've ...
Four Days of Fun
Just dropped my parents off at the airport. When will I be old enough to stop getting sad when I do this??? Even though saying goodbye stinks, we had a really great time during their visit. Here's a little recap… I took the day off on Monday and we headed to Brenham, Texas. Chris and I went last year, and I knew it would be a place my parents would really like. After doing some shopping in the little downtown, we ventured out to the Brenham airport for lunch at the Souther ...
The Rest of the Story…
Warning: This is my longest and most personal blog post to date...and for once it has nothing to do with Hazel, reality TV or my nieces and nephews. It might be a little TMI too, so read at your own risk :) Chris and I have gone back and forth many times about whether or not we would share our "trying to conceive" experience with friends and family. At first I was worried about what people would think, and I wasn't sure I wanted to share something so personal with anyone ...
