Chris and I spent this past weekend trying to make the most of our time together. We went to a drive-in movie on Friday, shopped and ate out at a nice restaurant on Saturday, and went to church and lounged on Sunday....just the two of us. It seems like we are so ready for this baby to arrive that sometimes we forget about the chapter that we're closing. So early this morning when I couldn't sleep (I'm telling you--I'm anxious!), I went through some old pictures and was reminded of how ...
39 weeks…and the countdown begins!
Remember when I started doing these posts 24 weeks ago? First of all, I'm so embarrassed I posted that picture thinking I was showing a little bit. What?! Was I sucking in? I had to have been sucking in... I've actually been doing this journaling weekly and making a scrapbook with all of the pictures. It's been neat to look back on already, so I think it will be really cool to read years from now and get a glimpse back into this special time in our lives. And a special ...
The Final Celebration!
Have I mentioned that we have the greatest group of friends here in Katy? K-State brought us all together--and thank goodness for that because they've honestly become our little Texas family. We've shared so many great times together over the past (almost) two years…K-State games, road trips, holidays, and now--baby showers. Life is changing! On Saturday evening our little Katy crew threw us a shower at the Siegel's house. I knew it was going to be awesome because ...
Put Down the Glue Gun
Sadly, this is something I've had to tell myself more than once in recent weeks. Remember how I said I was going to do silly craft projects to kill time until my due date? Yeah, I wasn't kidding about that. For the last month or so we've been eating dinner at the island in the kitchen or on the couch. Why, you ask? Oh only because our dinner table has been transformed into a sweat shop… The hot glue gun has become my best friend and the sewing machine my ...
Out Last Night
For my first unofficial Mother's Day gift, Chris got us tickets to the Brothers of the Sun Tour. So after a 5-hour childbirth class yesterday (woohoo) we put on our boots and headed to Reliant Stadium for a little Tim and Kenny! We hit the 37 week mark on Friday, so this was the perfect "full-term" celebration. :) Some other observations from the night.... I was really there for Kenny but Tim won me over in those white jeans. 45 years old, are you kidding me?!? I'll never turn ...
Maternity Must-Haves
When I found out I was pregnant, I looked to friends, family and Mr. Google to tell me what I would need for the 9 month adventure. Now that I'm closing in on the last few weeks, I thought I would share some of my favorite things! 1. Pregnancy Pillows I know there are many good ones out there, but I have to say that I'm in love with my Snoogle. In love. It's kind of like having your own little nighttime cocoon. Now the question is, will I be able to give it up after the ...
