What a nice little weekend it's been! Well, minus the cranky baby we had this afternoon…but now she's sleeping peacefully in her crib and I'm choosing to just remember the many sweet moments instead :) We think she might have another tooth on the way--or maybe she's just keeping us on our toes?! Friday night was spent with some good friends…two of whom are moving to Baton Rouge in a few weeks. More on that later though. I'm still not quite ready to accept it. Saturday morning ...
Friday Favorites
I know it's practically Saturday, but "Saturday Favorites" just doesn't have the same ring :) Here are a few things I'm loving lately... 1. Anthropologie Volcano Candle I first smelled this at a friend's house and immediately fell in love with the fresh scent. It doesn't hurt that it comes in the prettiest little mercury dish. 2. The "Green Monster" I know I'm a little late getting in on this craze, but wow! This smoothie definitely surprised me. I was ...
He’s Baaaack!
Tuesday was the day that Arden and I had been waiting for for two and half weeks…Chris got back from his work trip in Indonesia! I was curious to see how Arden would react when he walked in the door. I didn't know if she could even comprehend how long he had been gone, but hearing her sweet little squeal made it pretty obvious that she'd missed her daddy. And the look on his face made it clear that he felt the same way :) We're so happy to have this ...
Good Times With Gigi & Papa
While Chris was out of the country, my parents made a special trip down to hang out and help us break up the time alone. I absolutely love having them here. If I had it my way they would just move to Texas…but I guess Arden's cousins in Kansas and Missouri might have something to say about that. So for now we'll just soak up every minute of their visits :) Here's a little look into our week... "You're not going anywhere, Gigi!" Arden loves Papa. …Papa loves ...
Baby’s First Easter
Arden may not care what's in her Easter basket (or if she even has one), but hey, I still had a lot of fun putting it together. Why does it always seem to be all about me during the holidays?! Am I the best mom ever, or what?? Regardless, I've loved seeing all of the Easter ideas floating around the blog world and I wanted to link up with Darci and share what I've collected for Arden's basket too! My mom and I had so much fun browsing the isles of Target for these goodies. ...
Arden: 7 Months!
Length: 27 inches Weight: 18lbs Head Circumference: 17.5 inches Milestones this month: Introducing more solids. You love peaches, prunes and avocados…and most recently, you've become a big fan of yogurt melts. I'm not gonna lie, they're pretty good! I usually eat half of each piece and give you the other half…you know, so you don't choke or anything ;) Drinking from a sippy cup. You still don't need a lot of water, but you take a few sips during each meal. It was ...
