So Arden's got some sweet new skills, which I finally caught on video this morning! I apologize upfront for my terribly annoying baby voice, but I think Arden's performance overshadows it :) I'm a day late, but I wanted to link up with Emily and Leah again for a Mommy & Me pic. This was last week during our trip to Kansas City and Arden was really digging her shades! On a side note, I do realize I was wearing the same sweatshirt in last week's picture. I ...
Tea Parties, Pow Wows, and Ranger Rides
Yep, I'd say that those three things pretty much sum up the rest of our time back in Kansas. Sunday was Gower family picture day. We had given my parents a photography gift certificate for Christmas and this was the first time we could get everyone together in the same place. I'll share more when we get them back, but this little cousin tea party just could not wait. Cuteness overload? I think so... Notice that Arden is playing with necklaces…they were ...
A + W Wedding Weekend
This past weekend Chris and I were so lucky to be a part of our good friends, Adam and Whitney's, wedding…a day that was 8 years in the making! There's really nothing better than celebrating the marriage of two great people that you know are meant for each other. And celebrating with a crazy fun dance party? Now that's a lovely bonus :) Here are just a few pics I snapped from the wonderful weekend in KC... Lesson learned: do not feed your baby right after getting a ...
The Doggy Blues
Ohhh I have so much to blog about! A best friend's wedding, a fun trip back home, a little one's birthday party…but first I have to tell you all about Hazel's "interesting" week. After a great weekend in Kansas City, Chris flew back home to Houston and Arden and I enjoyed a few more days with friends and family. When he picked Hazel up from the pet ranch on Monday night, Chris said she was super excited and seemed totally normal. Fast forward to Tuesday evening--I get ...
7 Month Favorites
I had originally planned to share my favorite baby products every month of Arden's first year…. and then I skipped 5 months :) Whoops! Something is better than nothing though, right? So here are some of the things we've loved the most this past month… 1. Fisher-Price Rainforest Waterfall Peek-a-Boo Soother - My mom actually found this gem at a garage sale, and let me tell you, we could not live without it. It's attached to the inside of Arden's crib ...
She must be reading this…
Whenever I write something about Arden on here she has an uncanny way of immediately contradicting it. Maybe she's like the eTrade baby and stays up late reading my blog in her crib?! I mean, how else would you explain this? It happened right after I said she was perfectly content with staying in one place and showed no signs of moving. I can't say I was expecting this Michael Jackson crab walk, but it's definitely movement :) Oh and how about those leg lifts? ...
