I pretty much have the worst memory ever. I had a great childhood, I know that much...but I wish I could remember all of it, rather than just snapshots. There is, however, one annual event that I remember pretty darn well--that's our family reunion, or as we Gowers refer to it: "The Lake". Up until I was in high school we stayed in some cabins at a little 50's motel called The Temple. I remember its swimming pool and the red slide that we went down 100 times a day. I ...
Red, White & Cute.
Last week I professed my love for little ones clad in red, white and blue...and today I'm ready to prove it. Happy 1st day of July from these little firecrackers! dress: H&M | suspender shorts: Babies R Us I must've been a sight when Chris got home from work yesterday...jumping up and down, making frog noises (Nash's fave), and sweating like a large man. All in the name of a cute 4th of July picture, y'all ;) Totally worth it if you ask ...
Star Spangled Kids: A Link Up!
I'm not gonna lie, I get overly excited to check social media on a holiday. I love scrolling through picture after picture of kiddos decked out in their festive best! And with the 4th of July quickly approaching, I can't wait to get Arden and Nash geared up in their red, white, and blue too! Nash wasn't here yet last summer, but this picture of Arden and her cousins is probably my favorite ever. I mean, golly...doesn't it make you want to go sing The Star-Spangled Banner ...
Happy Things – 5 on Friday
It's finally Friday! And what better way to catch up on summer fun that with a Five on Friday post? :) ONE. Arden had her first sleepover! My parents bravely hosted all 5 (big) grandkids on a Thursday night, and to say little miss was in heaven would be an understatement. I went down in the basement where she and her cousins were watching a movie and she got kind of upset because she thought we were leaving. When I gave her a kiss and told her to be good, she got the ...
Arden’s First Recital
Warning: Cuteness Overload. But seriously :) Last Sunday was Arden's very first dance recital! When we found out in the fall that her tiny tots class was going to participate, I thought "well that would be adorable, but she's probably too young...we'll just sit this year out". However, when I mentioned it to Chris he thought it was a great idea and said he didn't want her to miss out. One thing you might not know about my husband is that he's got a little performer in him ...
Nash: 7 Months!
Height: TBD Weight: 22 lbs Teeth: 3 Nash, I'm more than a week late in posting this, but that's because you and your sister keep me b-u-s-y. However, I think I'm going to be even busier next month because you're on the verge of becoming mobile. Yikes!!! It's been a big month for you and you've smiled that sweet grin all the way through it. Here's what you've been up to... As I mentioned, we think you're going to be crawling any day now. You're rocking ...
