Hey there, Santa. I know this isn't a formal letter--but you accept blog posts, right? :) Here are a few things on my Christmas "wish list" this year...since I'm sure you were wondering! 1. Wunder Under Roll Downs. When you wear the same pants nearly every day, you should probably get a second pair ;) They're the greatest...ever. 2. Medium Wood Paddle. Every time I go to Target I put this pretty little cutting board in my cart...and then decide I don't actually need it and put it ...
Five!
Happy FRIDAY! We've had a great, Christmasy kind of week...I hope you have too! one. Yesterday my parents and I took the kids to Crown Center and Union Station. I love this new tradition we've started and I hope the kids will look forward to it every year (like I will) as they get older. But how could they not...is this place magical or what?!? I still can't believe Nash actually stayed in the train for the entire ride. I was sure we were going to see him climbing up the ...
Holly Jolly Home Tour
All I want in life is to be able to leave my Christmas decor up all year round. Is that too much to ask? The way it makes a home instantly cozy and full of cheer...I just l-o-v-e it. And since I'm guessing you do too, I thought I'd share some pictures of our holiday decor this year. I love to see the way other people style their homes at Christmas--and honestly, it'll help me to remember where everything goes when I break out the holiday cheer next November :) Recognize those stumps? My dad ...
Our Weekend in Pictures + a Giveaway!
Am I the only one that lays in bed at night and stares at pictures of their kids? It's crazy to me how some days I am counting down the seconds until bedtime...then an hour later I miss them and want to go stare at them while they sleep. Oh motherhood, you can be so strange sometimes. Anyyyway. Here are some pictures of our weekend...because they tell the story better than I ever could. 1. We met Santa and NO ONE cried. Say what?!?!?! Arden was totally starstruck as we walked up to ...
Friday Fun
Hey Friday, nice to see you again :) We've got a big day ahead so I'm going to make this short and sweet! Here we go... one. When we picked Arden up from preschool on Wednesday, she came running at us with the biggest smile on her face--and this in her hand. She said, "look what I made for you, Nash!" They just started working on their names in school (which totally impressed me), but I had no idea she could do this. Every time I look at this little masterpiece I get teary-eyed. I mean, ...
Want, Need, Wear, Read – 2015
Last Christmas, we made the decision to simplify our gifts for the kids by adopting the "Want, Need, Wear, Read" tradition. After a friend told me about the idea, I suggested it to Chris...right then I could practically see a cartoon bubble floating next to his head with a picture of money in the bank inside of it. So as you can probably guess, he thought it was a great idea ;) I love this idea of 4 simple gifts because as the CPO (Chief Purchasing Officer) of our family, it helps me to stay ...
