As much as I hate to see Christmas go (a trait that must be genetic considering Arden is still demanding holiday music daily), I'm always ready for a fresh start in the new year. I'm planning to share my "word of the year" later this week, but it didn't seem right to move on without documenting our last day in 2015. We started off at the Kansas City Moms Blog "Noon Years Eve" event at Pinstripes. Bowling, bocce, face painting, pizza, live music...and a milk & cookies toast + balloon drop ...
Back to Basics & Bachelor Spottings
Does anyone know what day it is? Yeah, me neither. This week between Christmas and New Years has got me all sorts of confused! Everyday kind of feels like the weekend...which I guess I'm not complaining about! Anyway, I'm ready ready ready for January. New year, new goals, and maybe even some new clothes! I've got a little Christmas cash to burn and what I need the most are basics. Staying at home with the kids, my everyday wardrobe is anything but fancy (and usually has some kind of food or ...
Christmas 2015
4 Christmas celebrations (and 1 still to go), 642 pictures, and more sugar cookies than I dared to count. And here we are...fat and happy ;) Christmas week started off with a cookie exchange at my neighbor Ali's house. The cookies were delicious, and the company was even better. I love these girls! Next up...more cookies. I told you. We continued our cousin cookie decorating tradition at my parents' house--and I'm pretty sure the kids ate more frosting than they actually ...
Nash News – 14 Months
Our ornery little angel (is that an oxymoron?) will be 14 months old this week. While I definitely don't miss wrangling him for those impossible monthly pictures, I do miss journaling about his crazy antics. And considering I've written about 8 words in his baby book, I think I owe him some random update posts on the ol' blog. So here's what the Nash Man has been up to lately... He's got the best waddle in the whole wide world. He has to swing that belly back and forth for extra ...
five.
Happy Friday, y'all! We're one week away from Christmas day and I know I'm not complaining! Here are 5 random thoughts for you on this chilly December morning... one. Arden had two Christmas programs this week--one at church and one at preschool...and she rocked them both! I was so proud of her getting up on stage without any hesitation and just singing her little heart out. She may have also won the award for "most animated" at her preschool performance. Ha! two. I l-o-v-e ...
Teacher Gifts, Reindeer, and Redbox…Oh My!
My favorite gifts to give during Christmas are the little ones...and not just because it gives me an excuse to make frequent trips to Target. It's been especially fun this year because Arden's been my little sidekick elf--helping me pick out the presents, making cards to go along with them, and her favorite part of all: delivering the goodies. For her two preschool teachers (who we ADORE), we put together a little "warm & cozy" gift bag. It included slippers, a candle, a Starbucks ...
