Happy Friday once again, friends! I'm going to make this quick because I still have some princess party planning to do and errands to run...but you know I can never resist a Five on Friday ;) ONE. Anyone else still waiting for school to start?! I LOVE seeing all of the sweet "first day" pictures on Facebook and IG...but it makes me a little sad that ours is still a week and half away! I have truly enjoyed the freedom of our summer and the lazy days, but oh my, I am ready for ...
Weekend Recap
Who decided that there should be 5 weekdays and 2 weekend days? Can we petition to change that to 4/3? I just feel like that's a much more reasonable ratio, don't you? Even though I don't work outside the home, the weekends that we all spend together are still the best...and they just go by too darn fast. This was one was no exception... 1. This girl and her art skillz these days. She wants to spend every free minute coloring...and I continue to be amazed with her masterpieces. I can't ...
Hello Friday!
Well I think I've officially hit that summer blogging slump. Anyone else?? I'm hoping that with school starting in a couple of weeks, I'll get a wave of motivation and jump back on the blogging train! But for now...enjoy my random Five on Fridays, mmkay? ;) one. Last Saturday we met my parents at the county fair. We scoped out the animals (including the winner of the ugliest chicken division), rode a few rides, sucked down a couple $7 lemonades, and then decided that it was too hot for fair ...
Arden’s 4th Birthday Wishlist
I don't know how it happened, but my sweet girl is going to be four in just a couple of weeks. FOUR! Even though she doesn't need a single thing, there are a few small gifts that she's had her eye on...and I'll tell ya, she's made sure to let me know about them! She also told me that if she doesn't get something, it's okay because "Santa will bring it to her at Christmas". No pressure, Santa! On another note...I've said this a million times, but how amazing is Amazon Prime? I love never having ...
Kansas City Love.
When people ask where I'm from I always say "Kansas City"...but the truth is, I live 20 miles outside of the city and don't leave my suburban bubble nearly enough. That's why I was excited when Sarah asked if we wanted to adventure downtown with her crew to see some of the KC murals that have been all over Insta lately. Bonus: we got to ride in Sarah's sweet new minivan. Note to self: next time have the husbands transfer the car seats the night before. Because let me tell you...that was a sight ...
Branson 2016
Happy Monday! Or something like that, right? ;) The great thing about getting home from a trip on a Thursday is that by the time the weekend is over, you're done with laundry, the kids are somewhat back on their regular schedules, and your house and life are in order. (Kind of!) My only expectation for our trip to Branson, Missouri was to spend some good quality time with my family. I hadn't been to Branson in years, but I wasn't counting on it being an awesome "destination spot". Little did I ...
