Carter baby #3 will be here on Monday! It's no secret that I'm whole-heartedly obsessed with my nieces and nephew…and I just can't wait to add one more little bundle of joy to the mix. If he's anything like his big sisters he will be smart, sweet (most of the time, ha) and he will most definitely have a sense of humor. He doesn't know it yet, but he's one lucky guy…he has amazing parents and a family that loves him already. With all the excitement, I can't help but be a little bit depressed ...
House Guests
Hazel (aka Hay-Way) was in heaven this week. Taylor and Ingrid made the 12-hour trek from KC to Houston with us for New Years...which meant Hazel had some buddies in the back seat. She even suckered Taylor into being her personal bone-holder on the drive. That spoiled little dog has been so upset since he left because she actually has to use her paws to chew a bone. What a shame!Okay, so back to the point. We had so much fun with Taylor and Ingrid…I just hope we didn't bore them with our old ...
Christmas is Over?
Don't you just hate it when you wait so long to blog that you have way more to tell than you'd ever actually want to write? That's about where I'm at right now. Sitting here looking at all of the pictures we took on our trip home--I can't help but smile. I loved every minute we were in Kansas…dinner with friends, family get-togethers, quality time with the kiddos, and the few spare moments where there was nothing to do at all.I am fairly certain that no one wants to read a day-by-day recap, ...
Lots to Learn…
It was Christmas in Great Bend on Monday and Santa (aka Chris) brought me a big surprise! Okay, not exactly a surprise, but I was still extremely excited. Our new Rebel EOS T2i is everything I hoped for…I read the manual for about 2 minutes and it didn't even matter because the pictures still turned out great. I'm hoping to find a local class to take next year so I can learn how to properly use it--but this works for now!I will blog more later about our Great Bend trip (because it deserves ...
Baby Morpher
I clicked on my first facebook ad today: "see what your baby will look like". I know what you're thinking...there's no way this ends well.Nope, apparently we're having a little gremlin with thinning hair someday.I let out a gasp when I first saw him and Chris said, "aw, I think he's kind of cute." He has a bigger heart than I do. Either that or he didn't have his contacts in.I think I will name him Puck. Hopefully Huck and Gower are a little less elf-like :)Now it's off to one of my favorite ...
Cozy
I've never had a cool office. This is mostly my fault...I've just never taken the time to decorate the space I've been given. I remember at good ol' Cern, my friend Marissa had the coolest, homiest office...and then 5 feet away was my cold neutral box that looked a little bit like a jail cell.Well, not anymore...The mirror collage that I love so much made a reappearance...I guess I need some books? And yes, Hazel picks fights with that dog too.Isn't it cozy? I love this room and I can ...
