Hello again. Australia is a big country…big enough for 2 blog post apparently. And I didn't even leave Sydney!Free day #2 was quite possibly my favorite day of our time in Australia. We'd done a lot of research to prepare for the trip but had only committed to one tour ahead of time: The Southern Crush Wine Tour. Best. Decision. Ever. I had come across their facebook page full of amazing reviews, so I decided to email the coordinator to see if we could still get in. First of all, his name was ...
Pay Attention To Me!
So you think you're just going to sit there all day typing on your computer…not paying any attention to me?I'll show you.Apparently our sprinkler system left a bit of a muddy puddle on one side of the house and Hazel felt the need to inspect it. In depth. We always say she looks like a little pig…but she took it to a whole new level this time. But how can you be mad at her with a face like that? ...
Australia: Part One!
"Each time you fly from North America to Australia, and without anyone asking how you feel about it, a day is taken away from you when you cross the international date line".-Bill Bryson, In a Sunburned Country (great book that will make you love Australia)For me that day was March 6th. I never got to experience it, but in turn I got to celebrate St. Patrick's day twice. Pleased to announce…
These 2 items and a pair of jeans suffered the worst of it…Chris helped me pre-treat all of the other clothes at 6:30 this morning, and they came out of the wash spotless! Thank goodness!Thank you guys for all of the nice notes and comments. I'm just so happy to be home right now, laying around with Chris and the Hazemeister watching basketball. Did I mention I came home to a clean house?! Fresh towels and sheets absolutely made my day/night/whatever it was. I guess Chris has learned a few ...
Warning: Whine Alert
I usually make it a point not to complain on my blog or on facebook--but today, things are different. This has been the worst day EVER, and because I suddenly have 7 hours at the airport with nothing to do, I'm going to tell you exactly how I got here.... I arrived at the airport in New Zealand exactly 27 hours ago. I should have landed in Houston 10 minutes ago. But instead, I'm stinky, cranky and starving...sitting in a corner at LAX feeling sorry for myself. Believe it or not, my 14 hour ...
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Chris and I both had the day off yesterday, so we decided to do some country cruisin' and take more pictures. It was actually Chris' idea -- I think he was jealous of my latest dirt road adventure. One thing I love about where we live is the fact that you can go 10 minutes one direction and you're in a trendy little shopping center with all sorts of shops and restaurants…and 10 minutes the other way is all farm land and quaint little main streets. Literally the best of both worlds :)The common ...
