As a kid I always loved “back to school” time. It meant school supplies (good ol’ Lisa Frank notebooks and Trapper Keepers. You know! ?), reuniting with friends, and of course, some new clothes. But now as a mom…okay okay, as a mom I’m still excited about all of the same things! 😉
Arden starts kindergarten in August and we’re definitely feeling the excitement of what’s ahead. Even though I’m determined to soak up these last few weeks of summer with her (before she becomes a certified “big kid”), it doesn’t mean we can’t squeeze in a little back-to-school shopping at the same time!
Arden helped me pick out her entire outfit from JCPenney and, honestly, I’m not sure I could have done it better myself! Although it helps that they have such a huge selection of darling clothes and the prices are amazing! Plus it makes my life so much easier to go to one place, or site, for an entire head-to-toe look. Believe it or not, Arden and I walked out of JCPenney with complete outfits (shoes and accessories included) for about $30 each! CRAZY!!!
Even though Nash is only going to preschool a few days a week, and Hartley will be at home with me, it’s clear that they needed back-to-school wardrobes too!! Right?! I can’t get enough of Hartley’s sweet little dress. Chambray, stripes, pom poms, polka dots…so many things I love, rolled up into one!
The only thing I may love more: gingham. Oh yeah, and ruffles. My top is a new favorite for sure! And at this price, I think I’m going to need it in every color…
I’ve been on the hunt for a good pair of white jean shorts for awhile, and I never guessed I would find them for only $14!!! This pair has a higher-waist, they’re nice and stretchy (but don’t stretch out), and I love the frayed hem.
I may have made them hug for this picture, but man, Nash is going to miss his big sister when she’s at school every day next year. And I’m going to miss her keeping him out of trouble! Ha!!!
