Well, it’s been confirmed: you are the sweetest. You’re spending more time awake this month, which means we get to see your smile and hear your coos a lot more. No matter how busy our day is, or how many tantrums a certain 2-year-old has thrown (I’m not naming any names)…if you’re smiling, I can’t help but stop what I’m doing and smile back. It’s just amazing how much joy one little tiny human can bring to a family!
Here’s what else is happening…
Like your beaming smiles, your coos are one of my favorite things. You work so hard to get them out that sometimes you make yourself cough or hiccup. Arden and I both agree that your little “kitten purrs” are the best thing ever. Your eyes light up when you make that sound and it just feels like you’re saying “I love you”. And we love you 🙂
Your favorite places to nap: on me or in the swing. You’ll also nap in the car, but once I shift into park, your eyes are WIDE open.
You think Arden is pretty great…and I agree. I love the way you both look at each other and I hope it’s a glimpse into a close sisterly relationship. I know you’ll love Nash too, but right now he’s just a tiny bit too LOUD. I’d be a little leery of a guy that liked to yell “TOOT!!!” in my face too…
When people ask me how you’re sleeping, I actually feel kind of guilty. Guilty because you’ve been really easy on us (knock on wood!) and I feel like they might hate me for it 😉 You go to bed around 8:30 and wake up at 6:00 or 6:30. I pray that this lasts forever!!!!!
You went on your first trip to Manhattan last weekend! We realized quickly how dependent we are on the swing for naps…but all in all, you did great. Next up is the hog roast in Great Bend!!
I’m still not sure what color your hair is going to be, but it looks like it’s coming in blonde on top. And your eyes? They’re definitely blue!
The weather is finally cooperating, which means you get to wear something other than sleepers!! I put a dress on you for church, which revealed some pretty adorable arm rolls. I can’t wait for summer rompers and chunky legs!!!!
Well, your crazy brother is waking up from his nap–which means you’ll be up from yours soon. Did I mention he’s loud? 😉

We are approaching 2 months now with Zoe and they are so similar – same weight, lighter hair coming through and blue eyes, and hates the car to stop!!
