Happy Friday, friends! Schools are canceled here because of an ice storm (that’s probably not happening until Sunday??), but luckily Arden’s dance class is still on this morning! Gotta get out of this house before we’re stuck in it for a couple of days! But first…how about a quick FIVE on Friday???
one. I’ve been meaning to write about this for awhile, but who else has used Walmart grocery pick-up? YOU GUYS. It’s a game changer! It may not be as convenient as having it delivered to my kitchen island like some other grocery stores in our area do…but it’s so much cheaper and I can get more than just groceries! For tomorrow’s order I have printer paper, kids hangers, laundry detergent, etc. on there, in addition to our food items. Between this and Amazon Prime, I’m getting closer and closer to my goal of never having to set foot inside a real store again 😉 I’m also a little obsessed with the Walmart grocery app. Instead of making a written list, I just add things to my cart as I think of them…then I schedule the pickup whenever we’re ready.
Then I roll up to Wally World at my designated time…pop the trunk…and I never even have to get the kids out of the car. Winning! If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should!!!! You can get $10 off you first order too!
two. Hallelujah! The Bachelor is back! I love me some Nick, however, I’m not totally sold on the girls this season yet. What do you think?
This is kind of an annoying habit (my neighbor friends can probably attest), but I spend the first few episodes of every season trying to figure out which celebrities the contestants resemble. Sometimes it’s a bit of a stretch, but I’m pretty sure I nailed it this time…
Am I right?!? Josephine = Sarah Jessica Parker in Hocus Pocus! OR possible a younger Kim Zolciak? Okay, I’ll stop…but stay tuned. I may have more Bachelor doppelgangers for you in the coming weeks.
three. One of my 2017 goals is to STOP BEING LATE. Mostly because I know it’s only going to get harder to get places on time with a third kiddo in tow! I’m proud to say we were actually early to school both days this week (say what?!?)…but I still kind of want this tee 😉
four. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a few Amazon fails in the past. Usually things from China that barely resemble what was pictured on the site. That’s why I didn’t have high hopes when I ordered this swaddle and headband set…but who cares when you have Amazon Prime and can just send it back? Right? Welllll…this little set definitely surpassed all of my expectations! It’s so SO cute in person and really great quality. It’s nice and soft and looks like something you’d get on Etsy for $35+…only it was $11.99! I loved it so much that I ordered another pattern yesterday…and will probably buy this for every baby girl gift from here on out. We tested it out on Arden’s doll, Scarlett. She was a fan, of course 😉
five. If you need me this cold, icy weekend, I’ll be hanging around in the house in this and these. I bought the robe to take to the hospital, but have been wearing it around the house like an old lady since the day it arrived. Chris was like, “So this is how it’s going to be now?” And my reply was: “Yep.”
Sorry dude…I’m all about comfort these days! 😉
Have a great weekend, everyone! Stay warm!
XO,
Vanessa

I was surprised the schools were cancelled today – we go to private and we are on! I’m happy about that because it’s not supposed to start till tomorrow or something. I love that little swaddle, so cute!

I tried to put my Walmart order in last night and when I tried to select a pick up time they were all full for today. ? So I sent Sean out last night at 9pm for groceries because my fridge and pantry was empty, and he said it was a zoo there! Like 10 people deep in line! Be thankful you got a pick up time, I don’t want to know what it would be like today in that place! That’s a great price on those slippers and I love that swaddle!!

I’m totally saving the link for that swaddle and headband! Those would make for fantastic baby gifts!!
Our schools in Joplin were canceled today too. It’s literally raining and not below freezing lollll.
But being the mean homeschool mom that I am, we’re still doing school 😉

First, YES to Walmart grocery! Tried it a few weeks ago with all three kids and I was suuuuper impressed! And I think the ordering is easier than HyVee’s. That swaddle + headband is adorbs! You def need the “orange” one, too! And finally, you should devote an entire post to your Bachelor side-by-sides. That might just be the best. post. ever.

AMEN for the Bachelor being back on! The girls are FULLY NUTS, except Danielle from WI. She seems to be the only one who isn’t crazy. And. You NAILED the celebrity comparison! I’ve been trying to figure out for two weeks who Josephine looks like, and yep, you got it.
Hope the storm isn’t too bad, and you have the best weekend!

Ah my sister mentioned the Walmart pick up and I was so excited to try it! But, they don’t offer it in our area yet. Can’t wait until it’s available. Is there a big charge for pick up?
