Well, we’re 32 weeks into this little journey and I’ve finally found some nursery design inspiration. Hallelujah! After Christmas my (borderline psychotic) nesting instincts kicked in and I organized our house from top to bottom. I boxed up a ton of things to donate and threw away SO. MUCH. JUNK. Gosh, it felt good! I think purging was a necessary step before starting the nursery planning process…but it made me laugh when I realized that we were actually DONE with Arden’s baby room at this point in my pregnancy. It’s true what they say about the third kid, isn’t it? 😉
Now that Nash has officially moved into his new room (more on that to come…spoiler alert: he loves it), Chris was able to start painting the nursery over the weekend. The color we went with was Benjamin Moore’s Stonington Gray and I love the way it turned out! Next step is a shiplap accent wall behind the crib. Yes, painting over navy AND shiplap…Chris just loves me so much right now!! Happy wife, happy life…right?!??
Anywho, I’ll stop rambling and get to the point…
Rug | Unicorn | Lamp | End Table | Fur Stool | Crib Sheet
Woven Basket | Crib | Pom Pom Curtains | Floral Decals
I knew I didn’t want (read: have the energy to come up with) a theme for this nursery…just something sweet and calming. Lots of pale pink, lavender, cream and white. Plus I plan to purchase a few cans of this goodness to transform some old wire baskets, curtains rods, etc…because who can resist rose gold accents? Not me!
One of the things I’m most excited about are the floral decals we’re going to put above the changing table. If I can figure out how to arrange them in a pretty cluster, they should look something like THIS…only in lavender and blush. So dreamy, right?
So here’s hoping that this 3rd trimester “get stuff done” frenzy continues…and that I have REAL pictures to share with you soon!
Have a great week, friends!
XO, Vanessa

I love it!! It’s perfectly girly, yet just cozy. At least based on what you shared here. I can’t wait to see the finished product! Chris is a good man for doing the painting and shiplap. 🙂
