Another Friday, another five! You know the drill 🙂
one. Last weekend Chris took Nash and drove to his hometown to pick up our new van (holla!) Meanwhile, Arden and I had a pretty epic girls weekend. Dinner and a redbox, a morning with princess Belle, and the Florida Georgia Line concert for her cousin’s birthday. Best weekend ever? I think so! I loved having so much one-on-one time with my sweet girl…and I think she felt special because she kept saying. “girls weekends are so much fun!”
two. Speaking of minivans. Heaven…HEAVEN, I tell you! I love this thing even more than I thought I would. Arden and Nash loved it too until they realized there was a “no snack” rule and the DVD player only works on trips. Womp Womp. (By the way…I give both of those rules about a month 😉 )
I know I’ll get a “cool” car again someday…but it’s going to be hard to give up the sliding doors. Those things are life changing!
Photo cred goes to Chris on this one. Apparently he was so excited when he left the dealership, he had to pull over in some random GB parking lot for a photo shoot. Man, we’re old…
three. Am I the only one that wants a Hatchimal for Christmas as much as their kid does? I always knew I’d be the mom who’d go crazy about the fad Christmas gifts (I come from the Beanie Baby generation, after all)…but seriously, have you seen these things?! They’re like real-life Tamagotchis! And you know I was all about those in the mid-90’s! 😉
four. I ordered a couple of these beauties for our guest bathroom…but then decided I liked them even better in our breakfast area. They make me smile every time I see them, so I know they were a good choice!
five. Last, but certainly not least…say hello to the Remi dress. It’s the perfect little swing dress and a new go-to in my (not so) maternity wardrobe. It comes in 17 colors (including the prettiest jewel tones), it’s OH-SO comfy, and it can be styled in tons of different ways just by changing accessories. Another great thing about it is that it looks good on so many different body styles (check out this video)…even the 21 week bump kind. Seriously, I heart this dress.
It’s on sale this weekend for $21.95 + free shipping!!! Just use the code DRESS2016!
Happy weekend, sweet friends!!!!
XO,
Vanessa

Your bump looks SOO cute in that dress!!
Yep. Vans are awesome. The end. But gasp! A no snack rule?!?! Color me impressed. (Though I laughed that the dvd player only works on trips lol)
Happy Friday!

You’re adorable. I tried the no snack rule in our new car too, lasted about 2 days. Then we got a garbage can and they did well with that for another 2 days and now there are crumbs and wrappers all over! We’ve had it 3 weeks and I’ve vacuumed it out 4 times ha! I think I’m just doomed to have a messy car!

LOL about no snacks in the van. My van allows snacks – in the right situations – but the DVD player is still only for trips! That dress looks great on you.

Girl, vans are pretty awesome!!! I love mine. Drew wanted a no snack rule but since it’s my van and I have thhave kids all the time I quickly squashed that. Movies are only on trips over 2 hours though. We are sticklers about that. Your girls weekend looks like an absolute blast!!

I think I kinda want one of those hatchimals too, ha!
Definitely going to need one of those dresses, so cute (especially with a bump)!!
Happy Friday. 🙂

Such a cute bump in the dress! And I’ve never heard of the hatchimal lol. I loved my tomagotchi or however you spell it back in the day. Best toy ever.

I totally bought Brynn a Hatchimal for her birthday! We watched a YouTube video today of one hatching and it was amazing (guess I’m easily impressed? Haha!). She is going to freak out when she gets it next month – I can’t wait!!

Seth got a new car last weekend (NOT a minivan lol, a truck in fact) and the no snack rule lasted all of like… 2 days maybe? And only that long because we were at work and Mason was with Seth’s mom! Ha! The second he sat in the car, he asked for a snack. Oh well, that’s the season we’re in right now, right? Never a day with a clean car!
Ok that dress. I think I need it. Sometimes it’s just slightly cold and I’d like long sleeves. How do they run? Are you wearing your regular size?
And also, seriously how cute is Chris stopping to pull over for a photo of the van. That’s hilarious! Glad to see he is just as excited about it as you are!

Gah, I am so in love with your mini van! I tell Keith all the time that I wish we had one. It would make life so much easier. And you are so adorable in that dress! Such a pretty color on you!
Desiree says
You *almost* have me convinced on the mini van. Almost. 😉 If I could persuade Scott to add one more little to the mix I think I’d be sold.
Time out on the Hatchimal. I had no idea about these things, but I want one. I’m right there with you on the fad toys. I think my mom is still clearing out Beanie Babies, and of course I had a Tamagotchi.
That dress on you is stunning! The perfect color and looks so comfy!

Love the bump and the dress and the van and the kids! But you lost me at Tamagotchi. I’m so old. 🙁
