A few weeks ago, my friend Brittany reached out to some bloggers about being part of a bandaid drive for Noah’s Bandaid Project. Most Kansas Citians know who Noah was because of his passion for the Royals…but for those outside of the area, this video tells you a little more about his sweet little soul and the bandaid project he started.

This video left me in a puddle of tears–but also in complete awe of this little boy. I’m just blown away by how much Noah accomplished, and how many lives he touched (and continues to touch) in 6 short years. What an incredible legacy he left.
The kids and I went on a bandaid run a couple of weeks ago–and I told Arden about the project and where the bandaids would be going. I struggle talking to her about illness and death, but she seemed to get this without a lot of explanation. She was so excited to find a certain box of bandaids, because she knew that kids in the hospital would love “mojis” (emojis). I’m sure they do too, Arden!
I failed to snap any pictures of the kids shopping the bandaid aisle at Wal-Mart…but I think you can tell from the picture above that they were very involved 😉
So what can YOU do to help? You can send bandaids directly to Noah’s Bandage Project (119 N Parker St. Suite 110, Olathe, KS 66061) or make a donation through their website. Either way, you’ll be sending a little joy to children undergoing cancer treatments…and that’s a pretty amazing thing.
Special thanks to Brittany for organizing this for her sweet neighbors. I’m so glad my kids and I could be a small part of such an awesome cause.

I bought our band aids myself (because duh, a solo trip to Target!!), but I explained the project to the boys so that they’d let me take some photos. I never mentioned that Noah had passed away, just told them he was really sick and that we were sending “Noah” our bandaids to make him feel better. It was amazing how much Brantley understood and it was super sweet to hear him explain to Craig what we did. And the part about Noah loving the Royals so much definitely drew their interest!

We had so much fun picking out our boxes of bandaids. I struggled with how to explain it to Cam, but he seemed to understand to the bes tof his ability.
