Hello Friday! Even though it’s been a short week, it’s been kind of a doozy. Anyone else feel that way?! Apparently school hangovers are a real thing…or there was a full moon…because, wowza…my kids have been nuts. But hey, it’s Friday! Arden is starting dance, we’re meeting some friends for CFA. Life is good 🙂
one. As Arden and I were chatting before bed last night, Chris came in and said there was an awesome rainbow that we needed to see outside. I kind of gave him a look like “she NEEDS to go to bed early” (remember, school hangover)…but we got up to go check it out anyway. And I’m so glad we did! It was the most beautiful rainbow I’ve ever seen (this iPhone picture does NOT do it justice)…and we could see the whole thing. God’s masterpiece right in our front yard!
Lesson learned. I will never ever say no to a rainbow sighting!
two. A few days ago I ran into Nordstrom Rack for one thing—a pair of tennis shoes for Nash to wear to Mother’s Day Out. I found them…yes, I did. But I also found these. OMG! Hazel’s face on a some Mini Melissa shoes! Can you say perfection?!? Baby #3 only has a couple of things to her (undecided) name right now…but these are by far the best. And I can’t stop smelling them!
They had a few super cute options at Nordstrom Rack–so go check it out if you’re looking for a deal on MM’s!
three. It feels like forever ago, but last Friday we went apple picking with my parents and my nephew, Luke. I love Cider Hill Family Orchard and I’m so glad we’re making a tradition of going each year! The apples we picked are DE-licious…and I think they’re going to be even better in the apple crisp I’m making today. Now if only we could get some real fall weather!
four. Have you ever heard of Maven? I was playing around with it this week and made a little Fall Fashion Board. Some things I have…some things I want (Bean Boots!). It’s also fun to explore other people’s boards…but beware, it’s tempting! 😉
five. We broke out our Halloween books this week. Eeek! I love this time of year! If you’re looking for some spooky books to add to your collection, last year I wrote about some of our favorites here.
Happy Friday, friends!
XO

I saw pictures of the rainbow on instagram last night – but it was already dark out so I missed it! I saw the sunset was amazing too. We go to Cider Hill too! Probably going next weekend!

Five Little Pumpkins is on repeat most of the year. It’s taken a bit of a hiatus, but we’re breaking that out tomorrow!
