The only thing that could make a Friday more wonderful…is fall weather on a Friday! We’ve got a high of 70 in the forecast here today–which means windows open, playing outside, and maybe (just maybe) some pumpkin spice muffins. I think it’s going to be a great day!
But first…five random things that I feel the need to share with all of you 🙂
one. #Truth. And alone.
Pretty sure I need this mug in my life!
two. When I opened our back door to let Hazel out on Monday morning, I was greeted with some glorious, crisp fall air. And apparently that’s all it takes to make me load my kids up and drive them to the pumpkin patch 😉 We went out to the Louisburg Cider Mill and had a grand ol’ time. The only downside was getting lost in the corn maze. I was about to just start busting through the corn, when we finally found the entrance…so I fibbed a little and told Arden it was the exit. She was pretty proud to have conquered the giant maze 😉
three. Nash. This kid is something else. A month away from being two, he is talking a ton and just doing the goofiest, quirkiest things.
Ever since we went camping at Jellystone, he’s been obsessed with Yogi Bear. Out of nowhere he’ll just say “Mommy…I see Yogi Bear.” I’m pretty sure he’s the only 2-year-old in the world that even knows who Yogi Bear is…right?! Anyway, I found the DVD from the most recent movie for $5 on Amazon, and I knew he had to have it. It didn’t show up until right before bedtime one night, so Nash just took it to bed with him. When I went in to get him in the morning he was sitting there staring at the cover. Oh Nash!! Also, please notice his sister’s lamb…and his new favorite toy–a baby doll. I can’t tell you how many times a day I hear…”Mommy, where my K-State baby?” I just love this kid…
Yesterday I got the sheets out of his school bag to wash them for next week. I set them on the stairs, but next thing I knew they were gone. I found him like this on the screened in porch. Goofball! Also, we’re never going to be able to get rid of that binky…
And lastly, I think he’s going to be just fine sandwiched in between two sisters. Chris has a list full of boy toys that he needs for his birthday…but I think he’s pretty adorable in fairy wings 😉
four. You guys, Cents of Style is killing it with their Fashion Fridays lately…am I right?! These blanket scarves are $12.95 (with FREE shipping) through Sunday! That’s C-R-A-Z-Y! I’m going to get the beige/teal/rust and the black with white…but I think I may also order some for the kids’ teachers as Christmas gifts. You just can’t beat this price…and I wouldn’t mind checking that off my list now!

five. Every Wednesday night Arden leaves the fairies in her fairy house some kind of treasure (a pretty rock, a leaf, a shiny penny, etc.)…and overnight “they” always bring some kind of neat trinket to swap. My mother-in-law started this fun tradition with Arden at their fairy house…and although I’m starting to run out of junk to swap, it is so much fun to see her face every Thursday morning. She can hardly wait to show off what the fairies brought her.
Well this week she decided that she wanted to leave her fairies a note, asking how many of them there were. She constructed this tiny little envelope (which I thought was impressive!) and asked me to write the note that would go inside (aka get glued in between the two sides of the envelope).
She came running into my room yesterday morning with the biggest smile on her face–and a tiny reply note in her hand. She said, “I just can’t believe it…I have FOUR fairies!”
Ohhh to be little again!
Happy Friday, friends! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Your kids are so sweet! That’s kinda funny you got lost in the corn maze. I’ve never actually been to the pumpkin patch there, just to the cider mill! I’m tempted on the scarves. I’ve been buying too much and I wonder if I would wear it, but they are so nice looking!

We went to a Jellystone Park this past summer and my kids fell in love with Yogi too. They had never seen the cartoons like I had but they still loved him.

So jealous of that fall like weather! Texas hasn’t gotten the memo yet that it is fall. For the love. That mug is perfection! That pumpkin patch sounds amazing. I don’t think Mason would get anywhere near a corn maze now. He caught a glimpse of Children of the Corn at his grandparents house the other day (his uncle was watching it) and now he is terrified! But, a corn maze sounds so fun. Isn’t Jellystone a blast? We are going the weekend of the 21st for the Fall Fiesta! Can’t wait.
