You guys. The sweet comments and emails I’ve received since we shared our news last week have brought tears to my eyes several times. So many words of encouragement and congratulations–but also lots of notes from friends who are struggling, yet found some hope in our little miracle. That is what I was praying for more than anything when I hit “publish”.
A lot of you have asked for details on the essential oils I used–and I decided it might be good to share it on here too in case there are others that are curious. I know this is all kind of personal and not always something you want to leave in the comments of a blog.
I started using essential oils around this time last year. With preschool starting and cold weather germs coming, I was on a mission to keep our family healthy. Then I started realizing there was so much more I could use essential oils for outside of immunity. I think my mom actually sent me a pin on Pinterest about a serum called Progessence Plus and all of the issues it had been known to help with. The first thing listed was “infertility”. Pretty sure I ordered it the next day!
When I started using Progessence Plus, I’d been done breastfeeding for about a month, with no sign of a period. I put two drops on my neck each night before bed…and sometimes I’d add a couple of drops on my inner forearms in the morning for good measure. About 5 weeks later I started my period (for the first time without b.c. in 15 years!) and that next month I was pregnant. After an early loss, I continued with my PP routine–and we were able to conceive again the next month. Crazy, right?
I hesitate sharing this because I know all of our situations are different and this isn’t going to work for everyone. However, another part of me couldn’t wait to share this with everyone I knew because of the idea that it MIGHT be able to help others too. If you have a history of low progesterone, irregular or non-existent cycles…it might be worth a try. Like I said before, I never in a million years thought we’d be able to conceive naturally…but here we are 🙂
If you know someone who sells Young Living, reach out to them and they’ll be able to help you order a bottle of Progessence Plus. If not, you’re welcome to order through me. Of course, I’m not sharing this to make money…I would just love to see some other success stories come from it!
Finally, I should probably mention that I’m not a doctor. (Are you shocked?!? Ha!) You might want to chat with your own doctor before starting Progessence Plus. And if you do happen to get pregnant while using it, my OB urged me to keep using it until at least 10 weeks when the placenta took over progesterone production. Just wanted to make sure I mentioned that important piece!
Well, I think that’s just about it. I’m far from an expert in essential oils, but if you have any questions about Progessence Plus or my experience–just let me know!
XO, Vanessa

I was using P+ when I got pregnant too! I don’t have a history of anything, but it kept my cycles regular and I knew EXACTLY when I ovulated (TMI? Sorry) so we were pregnant VERY quickly. It’s amazing stuff!

I was actually going to reach out to you on this subject!!!!! So Jojo loves Kindergarten but gets HORRIBLE anxiety. 🙁 The first week, two weeks all was smooth but now at bedtime she worries and it’s been a two hour struggle with multiple wake ups in the night. She worries her homework isn’t done right, worries her pictures won’t be pretty, worries her friends won’t like her. Oh my goodness, Momma heart strings being ripped apart here! I reassure her everything is going to be fine but it’s just not enough!!!! Wondering if there’s anything for anxiety or nerves that I could put on her little toes before bed and calm her?!
Thanks!

I use a few oils, but have never tried this one. I am going to order this one. I mean, I know it may not work for everyone but it doesn’t hurt to try it.

My husband and I have been trying for a baby for quite sometime (off and on really because the heartache takes a toll). I read your post last year and debated whether or not to try this oil because really it felt like we had tried a lot. Fast forward to January, I finally decided to
purchase this oil and started using it right away. Well much to our SURPRISE… my husband and I found out our little one will be arriving late November/early December! Call it coincidence or whatever you want, but I had to let you know your post made a difference.
So, thank you for sharing!
