You guys, I have a 4 year old. How WILD is that?!?! The last couple of days my Timehop and Facebook memories have been all about Arden…and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me a little teary-eyed realizing how quickly these four years have gone by. But at the same time, I’m so thrilled to see Arden grow and thrive and become the amazing little person that she is.
Here are a few of the things that she loves the most right now…
I left family off because I thought it was kind of a given…but honestly, I think it’s what she loves the most in life. She tells me every day that I’m her best friend (and last night we agreed to be best friends forever)…she constantly has a running list of all the things she wants to tell her dad when he gets home (and then she forgets alllll of it)…and as a big sister, she pretty much rocks. She’s patient with Nash (most of the time), and she takes a lot of pride in teaching him new things. Lately they’ve been working on manners…”Nash, can you say ‘thank you, Arden?'” 😉 Then there are her cousins…they were her first best friends and the ones she looks up to the most. When I think back about the highlights of her first four years, her cousins have been a part of almost all of them. And then there are her grandparents…she lights up any time she gets to see them. She’s so lucky to have four amazing people that love her dearly…and I think they’d say they’re pretty lucky to have her too.
One of the things I’ve loved most about this last year with Arden has been watching her learn about God and stepping into her faith. She believes whole-heartedly and always has some pretty profound 4-year-old thoughts to share. She’s constantly making up her own little worship songs…and it makes my heart happy to hear such sweet words coming to her so naturally. Honestly, I think she’s going to be teaching me about my own faith before too long.
She’s not always a perfect angel (we saw that first hand thanks to excessive sugar intake this week!!), but it sure is a treat being her mom. She makes every day brighter and happier by just being herself.
Love you to the moon and back, Arden Quinn!

Our babies need to stop growing up so quickly. Arden is such a beautiful girl inside and out. I love how much she loves her family. That is so special. And that she has a running list of what to tell Daddy cracks me up. 🙂 Hope she had a great day!

It’s so crazy to have a four year old, huh?! I still can’t believe Mason has been four for over a month now. Four sounds so much older than three and I just don’t like it!

Love that she wants to be best friends forever =) Aria was talking about how she always wants to live at home with me the other day/week. I’m like oh only if that was true. sniff.
4!!! I love how the age gap is becoming smaller now. I remember reading your blog years ago thinking how much bigger Arden always seemed, and now not so much. Those 3/4 months seemed so large before.
Happy Fourth!

Oh my, those years just keep flying by. Happy 4th, miss Arden! She is just too cute!

She corms up with her own worship songs?! How adorable is that?! This makes me feel like we need to get back in a good church flow. By boys have such a hard time during mass from age 9 months-1.5 years that he tend to take a little break from attending then.
