Kids birthday parties are a lot of work. Am I right? While I love to plan a good themed party, life is busy and I also love things that are really easy 😉 And that’s exactly why we had Arden’s 4th birthday party at a kid’s salon. I bought some favors on Amazon, picked up cupcakes and balloons at the grocery store, and didn’t have to clean up anything. But most importantly, the birthday girl and her guests had the best time ever! Each little girl wore their favorite princess dress and came prepared for a royal makeover.
Here’s a look into Princess Arden’s special day…
When Arden and I arrived, we walked back to the private room to see pink walls, huge mirrors with lights, and a row of pedicure chairs. She was in awe until she finally said, “this is AMAZING!” (Just like Anna in Frozen, I might add. ha!)
As the guests showed up, they got to pick out their nail colors and head over to the chairs to begin their pampering. There’s just something about little girls in those mini pedicure chairs, isn’t there? Cutest thing EVER!
Next up: hair and makeup! I was chatting with some moms when Arden decided on the style she wanted. I was thinking more ringlets, and less wonky straightener curls–but I had to suppress the stage mom inside of me and just let her enjoy her day 😉
I just had to laugh when I saw the finished product. Every time I get my hair done for a wedding, the bridesmaids with long hair have these amazingly gorgeous updos–and I almost always end up with something that resembles helmet head. #shorthairprobs! But look at that smile…she could care less!
Having an all-girl party was a tough decision–especially considering so many of Arden’s friends are boys–but honestly, this helped us keep it small…and ultra girly! 😉 It was fun to see her interact and have such a good time with the friends that were there…

Now I just need to figure out how I can top this party next year…without having to do any work again 😉

This is the sweetest party! And, I can’t even imagine how much fun they had. So perfect. Then, that card…I’m teary-eyed reading it hahaha. So sweet, and they will have a special bond for life.
Oh, this is even more amazing than I thought it would be (and I already had high expectations!). I cannot wait to do this for Stella. I am thinking I should probably wait until she’s 4 though – it looks like these girls were just the perfect age!
Haha, Gabbie used to get her hair done there but now she refuses to step foot in the place. I might agree that it’s too bad she can’t stay 4 forever!
