I’ve said this a million times, but my favorite part of blogging, and probably what has kept me doing it year after year, is the community. I’ve met so many amazing people in this little blogging world and I’m always excited to make a new blog friend. It might sound nerdy…but I can assure you, it’s totally normal 😉
Arden and I recently got to be a part of a fun little blogger birthday exchange put together by Liz at Chasin Mason. Even though Arden’s birthday isn’t until late summer, she said she wouldn’t mind receiving a few gifts ahead of time 😉 And let me tell you…when this package from Julia and Myles showed up on our doorstep, the girl’s eyes LIT up!
And that was only the beginning. Julia & Myles totally nailed it! I don’t know if Arden’s the only one, but she’s obsessed with Disney Tsum Tsums mystery packs. They’re the closest thing to a surprise egg that she’s ever seen (ha!)…and she begs for one every time we go to Target. Well it just so happened to be the first thing she opened–and even better, Cinderella was inside! I think the look on her face says it all…
Next up was an Ariel figurine with lots of outfits for dressing up. Totally Arden-approved! And then she made it to the princess dress-up gear…and the girl couldn’t get it unwrapped fast enough. Heels, gloves, a purse…she was in heaven!
Yep, this pretty much sums it up!
A HUGE thank you to our new friends, Julia and Myles, for making Arden’s day–and mine too! There was so much joy in her face as she opened and played with the gifts you got her. It just made my heart happy! And don’t worry, they’ve been put to good use every single day since.
We also had a blast shopping for Mason & Liz. Hop on over to Liz’s blog to see what we got for the (almost) 4 year old! Hint: Mason loves going to the Post Office with his mom, so I was determined to find something “mail related”…and it ended up being my favorite gift of all!
