The last month with Nash has been the best yet. He’s talking up a storm and acting like a big kid in so many ways…but he’s still got his rolls and he’s happy to let me rock him like a baby each and every night. Here’s what our “baby” has been up to this month…
The question I hear from him 50 times a day? “Where Arden?” If she’s not right next to him, he wants to know where she’s at. Sometimes she’s hiding, and when he realizes where she’s at he whispers excitedly and sneaks up on her. He just thinks she’s great.
He’s going through a “no” phase…only he says “no way!” Umm, I thought girls were supposed to be the dramatic ones? Me: “Nash, can you put the toys away so you can go take your bath?” Nash: “No WAY!”
The kid is still obsessed with fingernails and toenails. It’s a little cute…and a little creepy. When we go into Arden’s room in the morning the first thing he does is finds her toenails and rub them (insert shocked face emoji). And when I lay him down at night, he reluctantly lets go of my thumb and starts rubbing his own nails as he hums himself to sleep. Like I said, cute for now…but hopefully something he grows out of 😉
He throws everything. This is uncharted territory for me as Arden never did such a thing. And I’m not sure I’m doing a good job disciplining him considering I’m usually crouched in the corner, covering my head when he starts to wind up. That’s what a wooden block to the face will do to you!
His favorite thing to do at the pool is belly flop into 6 inches of water. So there’s that. He’s just absolutely fearless with his floaties on. He’ll float around for 10 minutes at a time…and he makes it clear that he doesn’t want any help.
We started gymnastics this summer and I think Nash is enjoying it. However, the “wait your turn” and “follow directions” concepts are still very new 😉
He’s finally proven to us that he can say his name. He points to his carseat, bed, and other things and says “Nasssss”. And then sometimes we ask him what his name is and he says (with a smirk), “Elmo.”
He had his first visit to the dentist last week and was a total champ…probably because he didn’t really know what was going on. He was just excited to get a new toothbrush (he LOVES to brush his teeth) and a cup of ice cream when it was all done.
Nash is starting to string words together and say things like, “where Daddy’s truck?” “I need that,” “where my binky,” “what happened?”,”let’s go woyals (Royals)!”, “here you go,” “I got it”. And then of course, there’s the lovely, “No! Mine!!!!” #littlebrotherproblems
Looking forward to another great summer month with our Nash Man!

Oh gosh, he is so sweet! I love that he says his name is Elmo. And let’s go woyals! lol. When the Royals got in the world series the first time, Simon said “we’re going to the world series! What’s the world series?” lol!

Nash is so adorable!! I love how close he and Arden are. I hope Elin and Grayson continue to be close like that as they get older.

The picture of Nash with the bubbles is so perfect. It’s funny how little boys have no fear and are little daredevils. I hear you on ducking in corners so you don’t get nailed in the head haha

He’s a sweetie, that’s for sure! Love these updates!

Such a handsome boy! Wyatt is the complete opposite of how Cash was as a baby. I thought, two boys, they’ll be so much alike. I.am.so.wrong. Who would have thought? haha!

Cutest boy ever! “Where’s Arden?” So simple, yet sweet! And the fingernail thing is adorable. My SIL used to be obsessed with my husbands forehead. She always had her hand on it. I love those little quirks that surely he will outgrow.
