Hooray! We made it! Let’s get this Friday thing going, shall we?
one.
Am I the last person to know about Amazon Warehouse Deals? Apparently you can buy things that have been returned (just because the box was opened) at a discounted price. Say what?!? I know I’ll be checking here before I buy anything for full price on Amazon! Thanks for introducing me to this amazingness, Liz!
Speaking of Amazon deals, a few people have told me that the purse I mentioned in this post is now sold out. Bummer! Well the good news is there is a very similar one from the same brand that’s…get this…even cheaper. I love my bag and this one looks to be almost the same, just a slightly different shape. And $18. Is that even real life?!?
two.
Wait, what?!?! Pretty sure I need a mermaid blanket in my life! Can’t you just picture me watching The Bachelor in my fin? 😉

Chances are you’ve probably seen this post from the Austin Moms Blog that’s being shared all over Facebook this week…but in case you haven’t–read it now! I nodded my head through the whole thing and I’m sure many of you will too.
My biggest takeaway? As moms, we need to allow ourselves some grace. A great reminder that I don’t have to do it ALL to be a good mom and a good wife.
four.
Thanks to my mother-in-law and her sister who were visiting, I got to take a solo trip to Target in the middle of the day Wednesday. And it was as glorious as it sounds! The best part was that I had a gift card (which had been burning a hole in my pocket for a couple weeks)…so I didn’t spend a dime of my own money when I was there. There’s a first time for everything I suppose!
My favorite purchase was this off-the-shoulder dress. Sometimes you’ve gotta break up the yoga pants and t-shirts in your wardrobe, you know? 😉 And I couldn’t pass these gladiator sandals by either.
Thanks Mel & Miss for making this outing possible!
five.
Out of the blue the other day Arden asked me “what happened to the robot that Santa brought me when I was one?” (I’m sorry, creepy child…what did you say?!) I told her that Santa brought her the pink kitchen–not a robot…but she was adamant that he also gave her a robot…and she wanted to know where he was now! I decided to pull up some pictures from that Christmas morning in 2013 to clear things up…and as soon as she saw this one she said, “SEE! There’s my robot! Where is he now?!”
I can totally see how that giant nutcracker at my parents’ house might look like a robot…but what I’m not sure of is how on earth she would remember this?! I’m guessing she saw the picture somewhere recently, but still…so weird!!! Sounds like we need to go check on her robot the next time we’re at Gigi & Papa’s house. Ha!
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Hahahaha that is hilarious that Arden remembered that! What a little smartie. Who wouldn’t want a giant nutcracker robot?! See photos end up being really helpful! Thanks for sharing the Mom article, and I definitely agree with your takeaway. Happy Friday to you and the fam.

My three year old has always had the best memory and has always been so observant. I feel like in a year or two from now, one day he’ll randomly ask me something like Arden asked you. haha. That is too funny! Also, that nutcracker/robot is huge! And yay for a solo trip to Target in the middle of the day!

I am loving all the odd the shoulder fashion this year, but I just can’t do it. My kids would be pulling down my top all day long!

Did I just add a tote to my Amazon cart? Maaaaaybe….
That mermaid blanket is amazing. If you get one you need a matching one for Arden, too!
The “robot” had me rolling! And holy cow, if Arden remembered that unprompted my mind is officially blown!

Omg I love that she thought it was a robot and remembered it!!!

Lol! I thought you were going to say she thought she was a robot. Seriously though, Abigail pulls stuff like that on me alllll the time. Crazy stuff she should never ever remember- and she totally does.

Hi! New to your blog and it’s so cute! I had never heard of the warehouse deals either (where have I been?) but can’t wait to check them out. When we move back to the states I’m all over that! Also, I can’t wait to check out the article you linked to about Grace… we could all use more of that as Moms!
