I confess…I totally want to be a soccer mom. Arden’s season is underway and she is really into it. I fully expected her to be in la-la land–singing and dancing instead of going after the ball…but boy was I wrong. She scored six goals (yes, six…ha!!) at her last game and this was how she would celebrate each one. If there’d been an award for enthusiasm, I think she would’ve won that too 🙂
I confess…being on TV wasn’t as scary as I thought it was going to be. I got the opportunity to represent the Kansas City Moms Blog on Better KC a couple of days ago…and even though I was crazy nervous, I actually had a lot of fun! You can see my 3 minutes of “fame” here if you’d like 😉 My dad watched the kids while I was gone and he said that Nash completely melted down when my segment ended, so they had to keep rewinding to make him happy. Sweet little mama’s boy!! Ha!
I confess…I’m excited to spend my Friday night painting shiplap. Poor Chris. I don’t think he knows that after we’re done I’m going to want to shiplap the whole darn house.
I confess…Chick-fil-A employees are starting to recognize my kids in public…and vice versa. I’m not sure whether I should be embarrassed or proud!
I confess…I might’ve mumbled a few obscenities when I discovered this mess the other day. While I was making dinner, Nash apparently thought it would be a good idea to rip the wick off of an unlit candle and jam it in between my white couch cushions. Thank goodness for 5-year protection plans!
I confess…this is why I’m always late to preschool pickup. I mean, how on earth are you supposed to wake this?!?!
I confess…we don’t eat out a whole lot, but when we do my vote is always for Mexican. My mom is the same way and I’m pretty sure this girl will be too. She sure can dominate a bowl of queso!
On a non-confessional note…happy 31st to this handsome dude! I was trying to figure out how many of his birthdays we’d spent together (it’s ten!) when I came across this picture from our first date party together. Oh college!
Ten years later and he’s still my favorite. Happy Birthday, Chris!
Love your confessions. I would have said a few words if I’d found that on my couch too. Gosh darn kids. He looks so sweet sleeping in his crib. Aww! We love Mexican food too and that’s where we usually go out to eat too.

Arden looks so excited! I am totally the opposite and want my boys to get into another sport other than soccer. Tennis would be ideal but my husband is pushing the soccer card. Anyways, I am right there with you with the mexican food, so now I know what to get for lunch 😉

First I’m excited to see your ship lap. I have dreams of redoing part of our mantle (we currently have a mini mantle on top of our mantle that I’d like to remove) and add ship lap up to the ceiling. But kitchen reno first! Also we eat Mexican at least twice a week ?
