Happy Friday, friends. Before I get started I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your kind words this week. I know it may seem odd, but it’s been very healing for me to be able to write and share those feelings with all of you. Kind of weird considering I don’t really like to talk about them…but for some reason blogging about them is therapeutic. All of your sweet notes and prayers reminded me why I love this little community so much. So thank you.

Hope y’all had a great St. Patty’s Day. We didn’t do a whole lot to celebrate the day of, but we did get the chance to walk in the Brookside St. Patrick’s Day parade last Saturday. It may have been a little wet that day, but we still had a grand ol’ time with the Kansas City Moms Blog crew. Arden made a few new buddies, took her candy-passer-outer job VERY seriously, and learned some moves from the Marching Cobras. All in all, a great St. Patty’s Day!

One of the many sad things about getting older is that my hair continues to get darker and a little harder to color. I just got it highlighted last week and I’m determined to keep it platinum and less…um…blah. Thanks to Jessica’s recommendation, I ordered some DryBar Blonde Ale yesterday–and I can’t wait for it to get here! If my hair looks half as good as hers, I will be a believer! 😉 In similar news, I bought this curling wand and really like it so far. I’m still perfecting the look (meaning my kids never know what my hair is going to look like when they wake up from naps), but I’ll share a picture once I master it!

Have you heard about this book yet?!
Golly, I love them.

I have wanted an army green utility vest for so long, but each one that I’ve tried has fit a little weird on me. They’re either too short for my long torso or really bulky and not super flattering. Then I was strolling through Tar-jay one day when this pretty thing basically jumped off the rack and into my cart. And who was I to turn it down?! It’s just the right length, light-weight, and slimming. Let’s just say you might see it in a lot of my pictures this spring!

Annnd…you’re welcome 🙂
Happy weekend from this weird crew!!
XOXO

Your army vest is so cute! I still have mine from high school at I bought from American Eagle. It’ past time for an upgrade. =)
Have you seen the Home Town series premier on HGTV? It’s a couple, Erin + Ben, rebuilding/remodeling home in Laurel, Mississippi. Apparently Chip + Joanna have become mentors to them. Love them both!

Blogging is incredibly therapeutic! I’m so thankful for that outlet- because it helps connect and share with others, but somehow it’s just easier to get out than talking about it. So yeah. I totally get that.
I’m @courtspena on snapchat! We need to follow each other! 🙂

LOVE the new vest!! It’s the perfect color and perfect length.
And I so agree on blogging. For some reason there are things that I can’t talk about, but writing (blogging/texting/emailing) I can do. I’m so much better with my words when I can write them down rather than just saying them.
I didn’t know you had snapchat! I’m lizbir19 (I think?? lol) if you want to find me!

I have that wand and LOVE it. Not that I get to use it often, as one little lady still thinks my hair is oh-so fun to pull. But, when I’m not rocking a mean pony I’m curling with that bad boy!
That vest!!! THE. CUTEST!!!
And, loved seeing you in the parade. Just add Brookside parade as reason 46910349742 why we miss KC.

I live in my military vest! Such a staple…yours is super cute! And I JUST bought that curling wand the other day and have only tried it twice, but man it’s taking me some time to figure it out. I am such an amateur when it comes to hair! Can’t wait to see what yours looks like!
