So I had so much fun with my first set of confessions last week that I’m back for round two! Linking up with Jessica once again!
Remember these Valentines that I made over a month before the actual holiday? Yeah, I confess that I forgot to take them to Arden’s dance class exchange on Friday. Who does that?!? The moral of the story…sometimes it’s better to procrastinate so that it’s fresh on your mind!
I confess that Arden loves Brett Eldridge’s song Drunk on Your Love. I can’t blame her, I’m obsessed too, but I’m not sure it’s totally appropriate for a 3-year-old to be belting out “I woke up up, still drunk drunk, on your love love” (insert shocked faced emoji!!)
I confess that my house is a disaster every time we leave to go somewhere…please tell me I’m not alone?!? No matter how hard I try it seems like we’re always 5 minutes behind, which means I’m scrambling and stuff just seems to go everywhere. I’m always afraid that my parents are going to stop by for something while we’re gone and think that someone burglarized us!! Thank goodness for nap time where I can get our lives back in order!
I confess that we gave Arden an old iPhone to use occasionally for “typing” and playing games. And by occasionally I mean every few days for 20 or 30 minutes. However, she’s embarrassed me more than once the last week by demanding in public that I give her HER phone!!!! I felt like I needed to explain to all of Target that no, my 3-year-old does not own a phone. Oy! But sometimes she lets her brother watch a video with her and the sweetness makes me forget about her attitude 😉
I confess that I have not known what day it is all week. Will somebody just tell me when we get to Friday?
I confess that I’m finally done breastfeeding and I’m not sad about it…like at all. It’s a long story but I’ve ended up nursing both kids much longer than I’d ever planned just because my body has a hard time “shutting off”. I’m so glad I was able to do it, but I actually enjoy snuggling and singing with Nash at night so much more now.
I mentioned last week that I’ve been a total slacker lately when it comes to working out. Well yesterday I broke out my PiYo dvds (which are amazing, by the way) and did the drench workout. Um yeah. I confess that I’m not going to be able to walk for a few days. Probably should’ve eased back into that one!
I confess that this picture cracks. me. up. BOYS!
On that note…have a great day, friends!

That last picture is hilarious!!! Our house is always a mess and sometimes it still is when we go to bed because km too tired to care. Oh Arden and her phone. The amount of times I have felt that way about things…like Emmy wiggling out of the belt in the cart and standing up nomatter what I do. Kids!!
Jennifer says
Hahaha love that last pic! Also, I’m with you on the messy house before we leave. That’s so cute about Arden with the iPhone. I foresee a lot of those issues in our future. Have a great day!
Amy says
That last picture is great! Some of country songs that Cash knows has me questioning my parenting a bit. Haha!
Leslie @ Martin Manifesto says
BOTH of the pics…I die….so flippin’ adorable! Happy Thursday!
Sara says
That picture is seriously the best. Too funny.
Christina says
The house as a disaster, ugh! We’re going away this weekend and I’ve been trying to tidy up all week but I just know somehow between now and Saturday it’ll somehow get messy! (I also always have the same thought – my parents will definitely stop by to bring things in and I don’t want them to see a mess, ha!)
Danielle says
That last picture is so cute. So funny.
Sara McCarty says
Bahahaha! Love these! And that last photo is priceless! His expression kills me!
Janel says
That NASH! I just always die at his pics, because I can so relate with my 2 boys (same ages at your kids). You just are so much faster than me at capturing these HILARIOUS shots of that little rascal! LOVE IT!

Nash is so chill haha. YAY for done breastfeeding– I’m trying to wean with Bre, but man, it’s tough. LOVE these posts.
Courtney says
Lol the finger in the belly button is so perfect.
I’m pretty sure Abigail texts better than me. She even does voice text, and lemme tell ya, some REAL GEMS go through that one.
Sarah S. says
1) You have the best pictures of Nash! 2) Brantley used to (and still does) love the song Drunk on a Plane. And 3) Congrats on being done with breastfeeding! 🙂
Brittany says
I love these! And yes to being done with breastfeeding!!! Seriously! And I want to see Arden singing that song :). and the house a mess thing? I seriously think that every time we leave- and one time (right when we moved in and the house luckily was clean) my mom did stop by with her friends to show them our house- she is never allowed to do that again!! Ever!
Whitney says
Target brings out questionable behavior in many kids lol. I have some major Arden hair envy, I bet you get that a lot 🙂
Desiree says
I’m with you on the breastfeeding. Julia is still nursing, but gosh, I’m looking forward to the day when my body is actually my own again (and I can have more than a glass of wine and not feel guilty).
Our house looks like a nuclear bomb goes off every time we leave, especially on Sundays before church.
And that picture of Nash. DYING!!
Elizabeth says
I’ve been so confused on what day it was all week! I’m pretty sure tomorrow is Friday and I’m pretty excited!
Half the time when I leave, my house is a disaster too. Then I come home from work and wonder what happened and then I remember that I left it like that lol.
ashley says
That last pic is my fave EVER! BOYS!
Courtney says
bahaha best last picture ever!
And so nice to be done with nursing. I was sad for a hot second and then like oh right this is pretty great…22323 years ago when Aria was that little =(
Caley says
Haha, that last pic is the cutest!!! x

Hahaha, boys! Love that picture! I find that when I plan, I forget, too!! I am so good at buying cards for people, but then I forget to send them! If I NEED to send it, I go, grab a stamp, and throw it in the mail! And my house is ALWAYS a mess when I leave. I always text Chad and apologize, in case he stops home, while we’re out! There’s no way to get out the door with two kids AND have everything put away!
