As much as I hate to see Christmas go (a trait that must be genetic considering Arden is still demanding holiday music daily), I’m always ready for a fresh start in the new year. I’m planning to share my “word of the year” later this week, but it didn’t seem right to move on without documenting our last day in 2015.
We started off at the Kansas City Moms Blog “Noon Years Eve” event at Pinstripes. Bowling, bocce, face painting, pizza, live music…and a milk & cookies toast + balloon drop at noon. What more could you ask for? Basically, my kids (3 & 1) have already been to a cooler NYE party than I had in 30 years. I’ve got the pictures to prove it…

That evening we joined some friends for one final shindig of the year. The kids wore their PJs and stayed up until after 10:00 (wowza!)…then things got a little silly when the adults were given access to a selfie stick (thanks Sarah!!!) Don’t believe me? Just check out this gem of a video that surfaced the next day. Gosh, I love these people!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve…and felt better than I did on New Years Day!!! #thankschampagne :/
XO,
Vanessa

You got such great pictures from all the festivities! The video is hilarious too 🙂 Happy New Year!
Girl, I was huuuuurting new years day! 😉 You guys are adorable, love that you and Sara are neighbors!
Those selfie stick pictures!!!! Bahahahahaha!! What a fun NYE it was! Here's to many more!
So much fun!! I can't even imagine the trouble I would get into with a selfie stick!!
Looks like so much fun. You had way more fun than I did. I was in bed by 10:15. I was so exhausted from moving and a rough night the night before with Emmy. No staying up for me. 🙂
Looks like you had so much fun!! I ate a salad at midnight and cheers'd with a mini bottle of champagne haha.
oh and that balloon drop?!!! SO COOL.
Happy New Year! I was crying with laughter at the selfie stick video you had on IG, priceless! XO, Kelly
Couldn't think of a better way to ring in the new year than a great night with such wonderful people. That video kills me every time! Just not sure what in the world I was doing?!
Looks like an amazing New Years Eve/New Year!!
