The Christmas cards are coming in and they just make me so happy. I think we’re going to need a second row of garland this year 🙂
Confession: it was 65 degrees outside but I almost turned on the fireplace for this picture…just because I like the way it looks. (My husband is rolling his eyes right now for SURE).
Hazel loves Christmas too. Isn’t it obvious?
Don’t mind our elf, Elvis. He’s just having a picnic with a beanie baby snowman…
Our advent calendar has definitely added an extra dose of fun to the holiday season!
This year we decided to put the tree in the foyer instead of our living room. Best idea ever. I mean, this space was practically made for a Christmas tree, don’t you think?
When I saw these plates at Target for $3, I couldn’t get them in the cart fast enough. Thanks Darci for the inspiration 🙂
And finally, a shout out to Chris…he did a darn good job on these lights! Computerized light show next year? 😉
On another festive note, I was over at the Kansas City Mom’s Blog yesterday talking about kids’ Christmas books. You can check it out here!
Now we’re off to Union Station to admire their amazing Christmas decor. Have a great day everyone!

Love all of your decorations! I'm a sucker for the christmas tree on top of the car stuff out there right now. I saw a metal decoration like that and I almost bought it, but forced myself to walk by. Your tree seriously glows and is in the absolute perfect spot. And your house is beautiful. Just right for Christmas decorations!

Your Christmas home tour is so beautiful! It looks pretty darn cozy and I only wish it was acceptable to keep Christmas decorations up year long!!
Sarah says
Love your house always, but it's extra pretty right now! I've been meaning to take some photos of our decor (so that next year I also remember where it all goes!) but it gets dark so stinkin early and I want natural light photos. Maybe I'll hire you to go take some during the day! 😉

Your home is magazine-worthy and has me over here with all the heart eyes! I love your decorations, especially the antique sled under the tree. We have one like that and I never thought to put it there-duh!

Absolutely beautiful! What is the fabric on your club chairs called? Those are exactly what I have been looking for for my living room and that color is just perfect; it's so hard to determine from the fabric samples online though!
Vanessa says
Hi Megan! So sorry it's taken me awhile to get back to you on this. I checked my paperwork and all it says is "tweed". There's no fabric number or specific color listed. I'm sorry! I actually don't know if I would recommend this particular fabric because it's starting to pill pretty badly. Ugh! Good luck though!!
