On a completely separate note, I have to share my geeky Bachelor moment. Chris got home from work early yesterday so I booked it to Target to get a gift for a friend. After filling my cart with random crap getting what I needed I headed to checkout. I considered the self-checkout but saw there was only one person in line at the next register over, so I went there instead. I was kind of in la-la land, soaking up my child-free hour, when I heard the girl in front of me talking to the cashier and I thought “I KNOW that voice”. And when I looked up I realized it was Jade Roper. THE Jade Roper from the Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise! I was freaking out (I’m easily starstruck if you can’t tell) and the only thing I could think to do was pretend that I was texting and take a picture. Because you know everyone texts with their phone straight up in front of their face.
If I’d had the kids with me I probably would’ve done something dorky like asking her to take a picture with them…so maybe it’s better I was alone. She seemed just as sweet in person as she was on the shows. And even though she wasn’t made up she was still gorgeous. Plus she was buying cat food and toys for Tanner’s cats…because she loves him so much. Yep, I’m starting to sound creepy. (#jannerforever)
I’m interested…has anybody else had Bachelor/Bachelorette sightings where you live? Did you geek out as much as I did?!
Oh my gosh, so fun!! Ashley (from Maine) has been spotted around town, but I've never seen her…just some winners from American Idol, who I didn't know but took my pictures with, anyway. (Thanks, tequila.) Also, I have those black jeans from GAP and love them because they're kind of like maternity pants…no zipper, just an elastic waistband!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I have no clue what day it is, either, and I'm ok with it (until Sunday rolls around, and I have to get ready for work/school)!! xoxo
Haha! No sightings by me, but it's probably for the best lol! I have a serious obsession with the Bachelor/Bachelorette. I've been making my husband watch every year with me and I think he's secretly waiting for it to end. Although, that's going to be devastating to me.
I love that stripped top from Gap,the basic pieces are what you get the most wear out of so they are worth getting! I haven't had any Bachelor sighting where I live but I have seen a few celebs and did get starstruck so I totally understand your reaction haha
Jake Pavelka, the pilot from the Bachelor lives a block away from me, I see him driving almost weekly in his black range rover! Every time I look like a slob is basically when I see him, lol! Then once I saw him at Walmart and I was counting bananas to make sure I got enough for both kids for the week. #soembarrassing
That Madewell scarf is darling! Ha! I get weird about celebrities too! I never realize they're just people, you know? I've never had a Bachelor sighting but I once sold movie tickets to Joe Simpson and Ryan Cabrera in San Diego when I was 17; I didn't recognize them, my manager had to tell me who they were! Happy NYE!

Oh my gosh!!! You know what's funny. I randomly was checking her IG the other day (I don't even follow her, I don't know how I got there LOL) and I saw that she tagged herself at some place in Kansas (I can't remember now where but I remember thinking… wow that's close to people I know who live in Kansas!) and how funny you ended up seeing her!!! I wonder if she lives there?
I've never seen an Bachelor people but I know Desiree ran into a couple of the guys at IKEA in LA once! I was SO jealous!!!

So fun that you saw Jade!! I ran into Zack Kelter and Robert Graham (Bach in Paradise – Season 1) in IKEA a while back. I had a serious fan girl moment and asked them to take a picture with me. They obliged. But, I'm sure they thought I was suuuuuper cool – especially being 4 months pregnant. Ha!
Love it! Blake and Holly live in Greenvillle (where we just moved from) I saw them a couple of times and definitely acted like a dork! We now live in Nashville so my celeb goggles are on! We saw Dierks Bentley one night at a restaurant and I totally did the same thing and acted like I was taking a pic of my family but really of him! Lol! ???
That was so something I would do! I can remember seeing the girl from one of the first seasons that was from Alabama (I can't even remember her name now) at the Galleria in Forever 21.
Also, I'm on the lip stick train to divert from wrinkles too! ? It's like they came on overnight.
oh i would have been a MESS seeing her in person. really, anyone in person. i'm SO bad. i want to play it all cool, but totally can't because i'm not cool.
so that's that.

Oh my goodness, how neat that you saw Jade! I love that you "secretly" took a picture of her. I didn't see her on The Bachelor, but I did see her on Bachelor in Paradise and thought she was just so sweet. I probably would have done the same thing you did and then wished I was brave enough to say a tiny little "hi" or something 🙂
OMG, hilarious. I was at a pretty popular restaurant a few years ago and there was a group of girls having a girls dinner with their kids and one of the moms who had one too many drinks was letting her little girl run around the restaurant and sure enough the little girl runs right up to a table where none other than Jake Pavelka, (we had already spotted him) and the mom goes chasing after her and ends up talking to him and his date. Well she obnoxiously come over to our table and is like “did y’all know that’s Jake P. blah blah, we were like yeah we saw him already but we are more star struck by his date, Kristen Chenoweth, and she was like “who is that?!” We just laughed it off! I didn’t realize this either but Kalon from Emily’s season went to my alma mater and i saw him at Homecoming so I walked up to him and introduced myself, he was really nice and was with some girl he is dating. I actually thought he was really cute!
Oh and my husband and I used to be roommates with Zak W from Desirees season, the “will you accept these abs” guy… He was a dork then and he still is! His Sister Carly was also on the Bachelorette, I met her once…
