So I realize I posted this picture on Instagram a mere 8 hours ago–but I just can’t stop looking at it. Hand-me-down Christmas jammies, basketball socks, and the sweetest sleeping angel that I ever did see. This picture almost made me forget about all the havoc he wreaked in our house yesterday 😉
Speaking of Christmas PJs, how cute is this Burt’s Bees family set?? Thanks Oprah for putting your favorite things list on Amazon and making me think I need e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
The kids’ rugby stripe set might just be on my doorstep in 2 days. By the way, what was life before Amazon Prime?
Last weekend we went to a little get-together at Brittany’s house and had a great time with my college friends and their adorable families. This picture shows just a handful of the kiddos from our pledge class…future Pi Phis and Pi Phi houseboys for sure!
While the rest of Kansas City was at the Royals parade on Tuesday (and when I say the rest of KC, I mean the rest of KC…schools were shut down for the celebration!), we chickened out of the madness and headed to my parents’ house to watch it all on TV. My anxiety was through the roof on Monday trying to plan for the unknown with 2 little people (and roughly a million other Royals fans)–so when my mom suggested a parade party at their place, I knew that’s what we needed to do.
Even though Target and Hobby Lobby are telling me it’s Christmas, I’m still trying to soak up all that fall has to offer. I have this free watercolor printable from Jones Design Company in a frame in our dining room, and it makes me happy every time I look at it!

Even though we had an awesome and stress-free day, I was feeling pretty guilty about keeping the kids from possibly a “once in a lifetime” experience. Then that night before bed, Arden prayed, “Dear God, thank you for Gigi & Papa. I had so much fun at their house today.” And then I knew I’d made the right decision 🙂

I am LOVING Oprah's favorite things!! Those pajamas are amazing! How is Nash so BIG?? He's ADORABLE! I Just want to squeeze him!! I always look at Cam (my 3 year old) while he's sleeping and try to forget about the fights and tears earlier in the day. Love that print! Thanks for sharing!

The sleeping photo is so precious! I put Ben in Christmas pjs about two weeks ago already, haha. I can't help myself, they are just so dang cute! Sounds like all the celebrations were a success and definitely sounds like the right decision. Congrats on the FB page, I'll check it out!

Sleep baby pictures are the sweetest! I'm always too scared to take them for fear of waking the baby up. But I love having them! And yes to all the Christmas pajamas!

We went to the World Series Parade in '09 when the Phillies won. It was insanity, know way would I bring 2 small kids, you definitely made the right choice. As child free newly marrieds, it was AWESOME, but between all the day drinkers and the shoulder to shoulder crowds I would have lost my mind with kiddos

It looks like you had a wonderful week! It can be so stressful planning to take toddlers out to big events, and it sounds like they had an awesome time anyways. I think that sometimes as parents we feel guilty over everything, when the kids could care less. And love those pajamas!
BTW, I'd love to invite you to link up with our High Five for Friday linkup next week. It goes live at 7 a.m. EST:)

Sweet, sleeping Nash!
Favorite Things on Prime? As if I needed anymore reason to throw my money at Amazon.
KC was a sight to see during the parade. Good call on the parade party though!
