Not my typical Five on Friday randomness, but there have been so many hilarious things coming out of Arden’s mouth lately…and I thought this would be the perfect way to record them 🙂

ONE.
Out of nowhere, she grabs her tummy and says:
“ugghh, my baby hurts!”
Apparently bellies and babies are one in the same around here 🙂
TWO.
We were listening to Before These Walls Were Blue in the car the other day, and after the line, “what are you gonna be for Halloween?” Arden chimes in from the backseat:
“A Bee! And Maren’s gonna be Jelly Beans.”
She’s always listening!!!!
THREE.
While raiding Gigi’s candy stash with her cousins, Arden unwrapped a Hershey’s kiss and said:
“it’s a witch’s hat!”
Then proceeded to wear it on her head. I’m sorry, how old are you?!?
FOUR.
True story: we’re probably going to get kicked out of our play group. I don’t know if she’s not used to be the oldest in the group, but Arden has been a no-sharing monster at every get-together so far…and her favorite word is “MINE!” Yikes!!!! So yesterday we had the group over to our house and I had to take Arden up to timeout (for knocking one of the boys down when he tried to play with the toy she was playing with…oh my!) She cried through the whole thing and I wondered if I was getting through to her at all. Well 5 minutes later, I see her go up the stairs with her stuffed monkey in hand. I quietly followed her up there, only to find her holding the monkey’s hands in the timeout chair–and counting {very seriously, I might add} to 20. At the end she said:
“You listen to Arden.”
So yeah…apparently she understands the concept 😉

FIVE.
When Chris got home from work one night, he ran upstairs to put on sweats {it’s kind of a rule in our house}. When he came back down, Arden took one look at him and said:
“Oh Daddy, you’re sooooooooo cute”
As if she didn’t have him wrapped around her finger already! 😉

oh my goodness. i'm dying! arden…i love her. and yes…by baby hurts too. but literally. i'm 38 weeks pregnant. 🙂 and the day my daughter tells her daddy he's cute…his head will just burst. i can only imagine! girl…so excited to be a new reader…like, for real. also, if you get crazy and want to link up for oh hey, friday! we would love to have you!
Haha – I swear they are soul sisters!!!!!!! Waverly has NO shame in saying "mine" – she is a master at no sharing & tells all the kids "MY SLIDE" every single time. Sooooo – she has seen quite a few timeouts in her day, and now, her babies get put into timeout on the regular.
Parenthood. 😉
Sounds just like our house. Everything is MINES!!! My daughter also says "daddy looks very cute." I might have a bit of a shopping issue too because whenever we are in Target looking at clothes she says "that's so cute!" Although it can be frustrating at times, this age is a lot of fun!!
i LOVE HER. and i'm 99.9% sure between her and lex if we got together they would not only be besties but there would be a whole lotta chatter (if lex's eyes are open her mouth is open). and genius about the witches hat. SHEER GENIUS. i love her.
I have several of those crying pictures on my phone right now (current phase were going through 😉 ) and I LOVE her she's so smart!!
