Three years ago I didn’t know a thing about strollers {other than that they had 4 wheels and were used to push children around}…but as usual, motherhood changed me 🙂 After two years and many strolling adventures with Arden, I now know exactly what features I want and need in an everyday stroller.
I was lucky enough to receive a Kaia stroller from Maxi Cosi, and today I wanted to share my thoughts on this cute and convenient piece of equipment.
First of all, I think I freaked the UPS guy out a little when I met him at the door during nap time with a “woohoo!” But until he starts paying attention to my “please knock” note on the window, he’s going to get to see my reaction to every package that shows up at our door! 😉
The first thing I noticed about the Kaia stroller was the cute pattern and color scheme. The Bohemian Blue style is bright and cheery, and it’s totally gender neutral–which is great for us, since Arden has a little brother on the way (who already has a lot of pink hand-me-downs to deal with, I might add)!
I was immediately impressed with how easy the Kaia was to snap into place. Every mom knows that the last thing you want is to be in a parking lot trying to figure out how to fold or unfold your stroller. Been there, done that…and it’s not fun!
The Kaia stroller works from birth to 4 years of age…and as you can see, my tall 2-year-old fits quite comfortably.
(And no, the color coordination wasn’t intentional…but I didn’t mind it either)

Umbrella shade
Plenty of below-seat storage
Fully reclining seat
Removable, washable seat cushion (love this!)
Lightweight and sturdy design
The stroller rides very smooth, and while I’ll mostly use it for errands and outings, it works great for strolls around the neighborhood too. Even with a maniac French Bulldog leading the way!
And lastly, one of my favorite features of the Kaia stroller is it’s upright fold position. It’s small enough to keep in my trunk at all times, but I also love the option to store it in the garage without it getting dirty or taking up much space.
We also put this stroller to the tailgate test in Manhattan a couple of weeks ago. It was small enough to maneuver through crowds, the lower basket held my tailgating desserts nicely, and Arden could easily jump in and out as we made our way around to see friends.
I’ve already purchased a double stroller for our growing crew, but this will definitely be my go-to for outings where we only need one in a stroller.
