And it looks like the big sister doesn’t know quite what to think!
Just kidding…that just happened to be the expression I caught from her 😉 She was really only interested in the “chot-lat” Gigi was handing her between shots!
Oh my word, a BOY!
For the last 21 months I have LOVED being a girl mom, but I am so so thrilled that in October I’m going to get to experience the love of a little boy too! What an amazing blessing.
Chris was still working in Houston last week, so unfortunately he wasn’t able to be at the big ultrasound. We were both pretty bummed about that, but thankfully the excitement of finding out the gender kind of overshadowed everything else on that day. My mom was sweet enough to join me–although I didn’t have to twist her arm, ha!–and it was actually really neat because she had never been to an ultrasound before. Let’s just take a minute to think about that…she had 3 children and never saw any of us until the day she delivered!! Thank goodness for modern technology because I don’t think I would’ve believed I was pregnant back then! 🙂 Anyway, it was a really sweet experience to share with my mom…and Chris was just excited to get the news of a healthy baby boy when it was all said and done!
After the sonographer made sure I wanted to know the sex, that was the first thing she went to. She said “well that looks a little suspicious for a boy part…yep, sure is!” and my mom and I both about fainted!!! We were all pretty certain it was another girl…needless to say, I was totally shocked–in the best way possible!
As the ultrasound went on and everything about our little guy looked great, I was overwhelmed…with happiness, gratefulness, and so much love for this little person who’s mom I get to be. So incredible.
Is he perfect or what?!
So now the fun begins…pinning nursery ideas, thinking about names, and figuring out how in the world to dress a little boy?!? Turns out they don’t wear headbands or sparkly shoes…who knew?!?!? 😉

Congratulations!!!! I really feel like everyone I know that's pregnant right now is having a boy. Like you, we were SHOCKED because we were so sure baby #2 was a girl too! So excited for your little bundle of boy!

Congrats! I had my first baby in '13 (a boy) – and can't even wrap my head around having a little girl (maybe one day)! So, I know what you mean! Baby Gap has been good to us!
Yay!! Since I'm a boy momma, I have no idea how parenting a little girl is, but I can for sure tell you that being a boy mom is awesome! 🙂 Lots of trucks and tractors are in your future! Congratulations!

Yeah!!!! I love that you get to experience being a boy mom- it's pretty special! And that Arden gets to be a big sister- I'm sure she'll have her way with dressing him up :-). Love you friend and so glad we get to do baby #2 together too!!!!
Oh such wonderful news! A boy! Boy, oh boy =) Love the scratch off reveal cards, did you send those to people or some such thing? I think that is pretty cute, I might have to steal that if we have another for family that is far away. We did a cake reveal for Aria. Oh man, these second pregnancies are giving me the baby buzz…oh no.

So so happy for you! Being a boy mom is so much fun, you are going to love it! I was so worried there were no cute boy clothes out there, but trust me, it's easy to get carried away 🙂 Boden and Next are our favorites…I have no doubt your little guy will be well dressed and absolutely adorable! We need to chat about names because I LOVE Arden and we are having a hard time coming up with a girl name we can agree on!
