Hello Friday! It’s lovely to see you again!
So let’s get to it, shall we?
ONE.
Arden started swimming lessons this week! I wouldn’t go as far as to say that she loved them, but she’s getting there 😉 I assumed that because she mastered her lessons last year that she’d be a pro in the pool this time around too…ehh, not so much! I think being older has made her a little less trusting of the water. She wants to be on my hip most of the time–but she’s getting a little braver each day!
The funniest thing is that there are a bunch of little bath toys in the pool during the lessons and one of them is a guy riding a wave runner…for whatever reason, Arden LOVES him. I had to wake her up yesterday morning and when I asked if she wanted to go to swimming lessons, still half asleep she asked: “And get the guy?” I just love her 🙂
TWO.
It may not be the Dr. Pepper Ten I would like to be enjoying every day, but I’ve been getting my carbonated bev fix from this sparkling strawberry lemonade. It’s delicious!
THREE.
Life at Gigi & Papa’s is pretty darn good. So good that I’m starting to worry about how Arden will react to moving into our new house next month. No playhouse, no ranger, no cows? Say what?!? Good thing we’ll only be a short drive from all these awesome amenities…and her grandparents 🙂
FOUR.
One thing our new house WILL have? Awesome countertops. Ahhh!!! After countless hours of research (and just as many convincing Chris that we needed them!) I finally decided on a Carrara-looking quartz for our kitchen counters. You might’ve seen the same dilemma on Darci’s five last week…let’s just say we’ve shared about 3,596 text on this topic!! I’m so glad we’re doing all of this at the same time because we’ve been able to share ideas, get each other’s opinions, and become totally consumed in things like countertops without looking like super crazies to one another!!! That doesn’t mean our husbands didn’t think we looked like super crazies though 😉
So anyyyyyway, this is where I finally landed and I’m pretty ecstatic about it! It’s called Viatera Minuet and this picture shows it paired with our beveled subway tile backsplash. Eeek, I can’t wait!!!!
And yes, that’s the biggest sample I could get my hands on. Ha!
FIVE.
I’m dying over this printable donut placemat that my sweet and talented friend Emily designed!
I mean, how ADORABLE is this?!?!
I just love everything about it! And wouldn’t it be the perfect addition to Arden’s “donut shop” 2nd birthday party (which I’m only planning in my head at this point! Ha!)?! Love, love, love!
Well folks, that’s all I’ve got today! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!! 🙂

When our pool season ended last year Aria was so mad. I wasn't sure if she'd be the same little daredevil fish this year, but so far…yup. Just a wee bit more in the life preserving category would be okay with me. Too cute that she was ready to go back for 'the guy'!
Sliding face first into the pool, too funny. Maybe you should think about getting a cow or two for your own backyard. Just for a little whimsy.
Apparently there are free donuts up for grabs today, don't miss out!

There's nothing like country living! We live in the city now but Harp loves visiting her great grandma's farm. Pretty sure our next move will have to be to the country. Love the new countertops! And the picture of Arden sliding into the pool is by far my fave!

So fun about swim lessons! Lilly is starting them next weekend for the first time ever and I am so excited!

I really wanted to get Hayden in lessons this summer, but there was no way this pregnant mama was getting in the water with him haha!
Can't wait to see the house all come together, it's going to be gorgeous I'm sure!

I cannot wait to see pictures of your finished house. It's going to be amazing. Avery has been the same way with the pool this year. She clings to us for the first 20 minutes then doesn't want to get out after that! Gotta love this stage!
Courtney says
Ha! I love the picture of her sliding into the kiddie pool! So much fun 🙂
And of course, loving the décor house updates!

Yay! Happy National Donut Day! Love the countertops you picked! I'm a big carrara marble fan. And how adorbs is Arden in her swimsuit. She'll get used to lessons and the water in no time. Mac's only been going for a few months and I'm shocked at how good he's getting now!

I am a huge DDP and Dr. Pepper 10 fan, too! But recently, I've been having to avoid caffeine….;-) and have been looking for a carbonated substitute. I am totally going to look for that V8 drink. Did you just find it at the grocery store?
Desiree Macke says
Arden in her little swim suit, and asking for "the guy"! I just died. We're taking lessons in a few weeks and I hope our ventures are as successful as yours!
And the sparkling strawberry lemonade? YES PLEASE!!
