So I have more news.
No…no twins here 😉
After 4 years of good ol’ Texas fun, we are officially “homeward bound”. A couple of months ago, Chris was approached with a really exciting opportunity back in our home state of Kansas–and we just couldn’t say no.
I’m not sure that I’ve ever been SO ecstatic and SO very sad about something at the same time.
We just love Texas. It’s the place where we welcomed our sweet Arden, the place where we became a family, the place that we traveled and explored, and the place where we made the most amazing friends & memories. It’s been our home and it’s going to be really hard to leave.
But our first home awaits us…it’s the place we’ve always dreamed of getting back to, the place where so many of our great friends live, and the place where are families are. Our families! We don’t have to miss get-togethers, soccer games or dance recitals anymore…and Arden gets to grow up with 3 of her cousins just 15 minutes away. I mean, how could we say no?!?
So as you can see, April was pretty run-of-the-mill for us 😉
We’re now in the midst of selling one house in Texas (it’s under contract–woohoo!), buying another in KC, preparing to live with my parents for a month or two while the new house is finished (get excited for your new roommates, Gigi & Papa!), and just trying to soak up these last couple weeks with our dear Texas friends.
It’s been pretty incredible watching God’s plan for my family unfold before our eyes. And while it may be bittersweet, I know that Kansas is where we’re meant to be.
But this place? It’s always going to hold a special place in my heart 🙂
(More sappy “I’m really going to miss Texas” post to come…)

I cannot wait to see what Kansas holds for you. And, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a wee bit jealous you're headed home. 🙂 However, this could mean potential play dates for Arden and Marcus when we are back??
