Next week…next week I will blog more than twice.
I promise!
Maybe… 🙂
But for now…Five on Friday!
ONE.
Am I a bad mom for secretly hoping for this outcome? 🙂
Pathetic. Yet so hilarious…
Good thing we started early in December…I’m sure we’ll have a couple more chances for Arden to warm up to the jolly old fella!
TWO.
Every family’s got ’em…
goofy ornaments.
This is ours…
Yep, that’s me. A 1990, feathered-bang-lovin’ angel.
Awesome, huh? 🙂
Well I love that ornament so much that I couldn’t resist making Arden one of her own. Hopefully someday she’ll laugh as hard as I do every time she puts this little gem on her tree…
THREE.
Say hello to Texas’ newest Professional Engineer!
I’m sure he’s totally embarrassed right now, but I have to brag on my husband just a little bit…he found out yesterday that he passed his PE exam!!!! All of those hours and hours of studying paid off! I am SO incredibly proud of you, Chris!
FOUR.
For the last 5 days, every time I’ve mentioned breakfast, lunch or dinner–Arden looks at me with big, hopeful eyes and says, “Pun-Pin Pie?!?” And then just yesterday she was pounding on the refrigerator, chanting her two favorite words. I mean, I can’t really blame her though…my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
But what am I going to tell her when we run out? 😉
FIVE.
Some friends and I “adopted” a local child for Christmas this year and it was a really wonderful experience. I got to spend a child-free evening at Target with some great friends (hello? awesome!)…but more importantly, there will hopefully be one happy little kiddo this Christmas because of it 🙂 It just makes me giddy to think about him opening all of his goodies from Santa!!
Hope you’ll join in and link up with Darci & the gang this lovely Friday!
Have a great weekend, friends!!!!

Congrats to Chris! Gustavo didn't even want to open his envelope because he was sure he didn't pass. What a relief! Love the pumpkin pie video. She is way ahead of Carolina in talking. Every animal says wuff wuff around here.

Our daycare is adopting some families as well and I'm shopping this weekend for them! And LOOOOOVE the santa pic. So priceless!

Okay, I love the angel Christmas ornaments. So funny! Also, I really wanted Lilly to scream for Santa too and I really thought she would…she shocked me when she flashed her cute grin at the man in red. We will be seeing Santa again too, maybe she will cry the next time!?

The Santa pic is priceless. I'm hoping we can make a go of visiting Santa soon — with a similar outcome, of course (bad, mommy!).
Love, love, love that you adopted a child for Christmas! One little boy is going to be VERY happy on Christmas morning.
Emily Marie says
You better get baking to have pies on hand because that is the sweetest thing ever, I could never say no to that;) Our santa experience was the same and I wasn't the least bit sad either.. Who doesn't love a picture of a screaming child on Santa's Lap!!!
Congrats to your hubby, so very exciting!! The ornaments are hilarious, and that will be one lucky boy on Christmas morning such a fun, nice thing for you to do!!!
Colleen Sullivan says
Whoever the lucky boy is who you girls adopted is very very lucky! So sweet and kind of you 🙂 It will make his holiday, I'm sure of it. I don't blame Arden for wanting PP for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I had it for breakfast the day after TG and crave it every morning!
The Eberspachers says
I want to say something about each of your choices, seriously! First of all…YAY CHRIS!! So exciting, and that picture is priceless 🙂 Poor Arden's face with Santa…hopefully next time will be a little better! This was such a great post!
