When I received an email from Erinn & Natasha about a holiday gift exchange they were organizing, I immediately said count me in! Or should I say, count Arden in!
The rules were simple…names would be drawn through Elfster (which worked so well that I ended up using it for my family exchange), the limit was $20, and gifts for the kiddos would be sent by December 10th.
When I found out that we got Natasha and Ethan at Schue Love, I was {ridiculously} excited! After all, Natasha’s was the first ever “mommy blog” I started reading! I loved following along throughout her pregnancy and then of course after Ethan was born…and with Arden being just a couple months younger, I’ve gotten so many tips and ideas from Natasha along the way. So when I drew her name, I could hardly wait to start shopping for her sweet little guy, Ethan!
Arden ended up sending her new friend a Fisher Price Doodle Pro (we’ve heard he’s quite the artist!) and a book from one of her favorite authors–Karen Katz’s “Where is Baby’s Christmas Present?”
We hope you loved your gifts, Ethan!!!!
Now there’s obviously another piece to this story–the gift that Arden received!
Her present came all the way from sunny California from another new pal, Blair. Her mom, Natalie, was probably the second mommy blogger that I started following as she had done a guest post on Natasha’s blog! So needless to say, I was thrilled to be paired up with two of my faves in this fun little exchange 🙂
Speaking of thrilled…
Blair sent Arden the same Karen Katz book that we’d gotten Ethan! Hooray for Christmas books!
We’ve read it 5 times a day since…and that is no exaggeration!
And then this happened…
“More? More?”
Is this the cutest gift you’ve ever seen or what?!?
A baby doll booster seat…oh my word!
Arden’s babies and stuffed animals are rotated regularly through the seat…gotta make sure everyone is fed! Oh and every once in awhile she tries to fit in it herself…she has yet to make that one work 😉
Thank you so much Natalie and Blair for the wonderful gifts! We absolutely LOVE them!!!
And thank you to Erinn and Natasha for setting up this festive little exchange. Just one more reason why I love this blogging community so!
Here’s the list of all the other bloggers that participated…now hop on over and see the great gifts that were swapped! 🙂
