Hey there, friends!
I’m checking in today to share a little DIY project with you. And you know what the means…it must be REALLY easy! 🙂 Yes…yes, it is!
I’ve received a few questions lately about where I got the scarf that Arden was wearing in one of my Instagram videos…
Well here’s the truth…are you ready for it?!
It’s the bottom of an old shirt.
Yes, I cut up my old clothes and turn them into accessories for my child…don’t judge, okay?! 🙂
It was just supposed to be a test to see if Arden would actually wear a scarf–you know, before I went and spent the money for one on Etsy. And then I realized it looked pretty cute…and I just so happened to have a few more old shirts laying around!
So here you go…you might want to pay close attention as this super complicated…
Okay, not really.
1. Find an old shirt or t-shirt that you won’t miss…or that you won’t mind wearing as a crop top 😉
For the first two, I used Old Navy v-necks that had gotten too short for me…this time I used a plain old Gildan t-shirt…and while I like both, I think the weight of the v-neck worked a little better in the end. But really, either will do!
2. Cut off the bottom 8-10 inches of the shirt.
3. Put on a cute kid and enjoy! 😉
Seriously…that’s it!
I told you it was ridiculously easy, didn’t I?!?
Happy scarf making, friends!!!
