Welcome back, Friday…you’ve been missed!
Once again, I’m linking up with Darci and some other lovely ladies for Five on Friday 🙂
ONE.
My poor, poor husband has been roughing it in Dubai for the last week. He went to the beach, explored the city…oh, and I think he worked a little bit too. But he’s finally back and we are SO happy about it! Arden missed him so much, she decided to give him this little gift while he was gone 🙂
TWO.
Three words (or names): George Alexander Lewis.
I love this couple….I love this baby….and I’ve already told Arden that she needs to study abroad in college so that she can meet her soulmate. Ha!
THREE.
A friend taught me a little iPhone/iPad trick the other day that I think EVERY mom would want to know. It’s called “guided access” and it allows you to lock your phone in one app so that chubby little fingers don’t accidentally make things disappear! That means no more swiping out of FaceTime chats or exiting a game and calling random contacts! Hooray!
Here’s what you do:
1. Settings > General > Accessibility > Turn on Guided Access
2. Set a passcode
3. Open the app you want to run
4. Triple click the home button to start guided access
5. Voila! Baby-proofed iPhone or iPad fun! 🙂
FOUR.
I know I say it all the time on here, but I am so blessed to have the friends that I do in Texas–new and old! They all helped to make my week alone FLY by. We watched the Bachelorette (I use the term “watched” loosely…is it just me or is it the most boring season EVER?! I digress…), ventured downtown to the Children’s Museum, went to story time at the library, and ended the week off with two of my favorites–Emily & Darci–for a pool day with the kiddos! Such FUN!!!
Proof that getting 5 babies to look at a camera is virtually impossible…
If Arden doesn’t marry Prince George, I sure hope she chooses Jackson or Owen. I mean, how could anyone resist?!? I just love these boys!
FIVE.
Order 1st birthday present…check!!!!
I may or may not have been waiting for this day since I found out I was pregnant. Or at least since we picked a name 🙂
Cheers to the weekend!!!!
xoxo

Sorry but my daughter is already in love with Prince George…it was love at first sight;) My daughter's birthday is in November and I may be a little obsessive and have already bought two of her gifts!! 😉 Thanks for the phone tip- my 3 year old loves playing with my phone and has been known to switch things up! 😉 Happy Friday!!
A Wedding Story says
That is the BEST kid app advice ever. I leave Avery in her crib to watch The Wiggles while I shower (whatever works!) and darn if she doesn't swipe off of it in five seconds. Thank you!
And Arden will LOVE her PBK chair. Make sure you have it against something, like a chair or wall, because Avery totally toppled over it when she got it for Christmas. You live and you learn!
Have a great Friday my friend!

Oh my gosh – I LOVE the video…. such a smart girl! I loved getting together yesterday and getting to catch up and carry little miss around on my hip for just a minute [ahhh, I miss that!]. I'm glad you guys have had a good, full week while the hubs was out of town {clearly roughing it from the photos] ;).
And that's great to know about the iphone feature – Jackson called my dad three times last week, which he loved. Ha!
Ps – does Arden's chair come in an adult size?? I'm only 5'1", so maybe that one would work for me? 😉
Happy weekend ahead, girl…. so glad we got to see y'all this week! Girls night SOON!!!!
Ashley @ Words About Waverly says
Love the chair, and Arden of course!!! Prince George is going to have lots of ladies fighting over him – haha! I've been telling Waverly the same thing!!!
Lobster Meets Peach says
Thank you so much for sharing how to child-proof my app's! That tip is worth it's weight in gold!!!!

That video is just precious! I can't wait for Lilly to start talking!

Arden saying "dada" is SO cute. And I didn't know how to child proof my iphone…so THANK YOU! I am also majorly jealous of that adorable chair! I've been thinking about ordering one for Hudson and this post just might make me do it!

Arden's got skills! I'm just now getting Carolina to sort of say Papa. It's the best. 🙂 Great to see you yesterday at story time. It was a bit chaotic but always fun.

Arden will LOVE the PBK chair. It's one of Hayden's favorite things. 🙂
The guided access thing is genius isn't it?! Our problem is Hayden wants to just open and close the case constantly. He's not worried about touching the screen. 🙂
Jenny {jennycollier.com} says
Thank you for the iPhone tip. It's so needed around here — I can't tell you how many times I've gone looking for an app and it was gone.
Enjoy your weekend!
Katie @ Chronicles of KT says
I saw that chair with the ruffle and thought it was the cutest thing!!! What a blessing it is to have sweet friends to make time go by and its the best when they have precious kiddos for our own to grow up with too! Your sweet Arden is the sweetest!
Mrs. Ruby says
Stop it now. I literally JUST pressed "checkout" on PB Kids to order Lyla's first birthday chair. The gray and white polka dot one.
SO, apparently Arden and Lyla are not the only ones who are the exact.same.person. 😉

Ok I just went ALL the way back to this post and through ALL your past five on friday posts because I remember you posted this, but I didn't actually do it because Charlie wasn't into iPhone/iPad yet. Guided access = amazing because he's obsessed with pushing EVERY button these days…including the home button.
Love you friend!
