If you were to ask my nieces and nephews what they think of my husband, they would tell you that he’s the best. They would say that Uncle Chris is the kind of uncle that will play “school” or “restaurant” for hours on end, the kind that lets you climb all over him, and the kind that you know is always up for a good game of hide-and-seek. He has loved those kids from day one, and boy do they love him.
So I guess I should’ve known. I should’ve know that this awesome uncle would also be an awesome dad. A dad that would love his daughter unconditionally and with his whole heart.
Watching Chris become a father has been one of the best experiences of my life. My heart swells when I see Arden light up as he walks through the door each day. And those nights when we go into her room and watch her sleep (like a couple of creeps), I think my heart could literally explode seeing him smile over her like the proudest dad in the world.
